Planning a trip to Banaue, Ifugao this 2022? Here are the latest Banaue travel requirements, guidelines, and entry protocols for tourists and visitors!


Recently, I shared to you the tourist requirements when traveling to Sagada in Mountain Province. If you're traveling to the Cordillera Region, you might as well, visit the Municipality of Banaue in the Province of Ifugao. As of March 1, 2022, the province of Ifugao is under Alert Level 2 until March 15, 2022.

Home to the picturesque and awe-inspiring Banaue Rice Terraces, Banaue is a must-visit tourist destination in the Philippines. Popular among local and foreign tourists, Banaue is gradually opening its doors to leisure travelers. In this blog post, I'll be sharing to you the latest Banaue Travel Requirements, Guidelines and Entry Protocols you need to follow as well as the list of DOT-accredited accommodation establishments where you could stay during your trip.




BANAUE TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS & GUIDELINES

As of March 1, 2022

Banaue will be open to tourists starting March 8, 2022.

For STAY-IN GUESTS, you may register at https://forms.gle/dshAwQDuxpAWVbo1A. For DAY TOURISTS, kindly register at this link https://forms.gle/j8yw6Lr3R2SBqRKE9.

Online travel registration is open from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Only travel applications for March 8, 2022 onwards will be approved.

Please avoid double registration. Online registration must be accomplished at least one day prior to your arrival.

Updated Banaue Travel Requirements


  • Printed or electronic copy of your travel booking confirmation from the Banaue Tourism Office.
  • Vaccination card or vaccination certificate.
  • Register and pay the environmental fee of 50 pesos at the triage area or at the Municipal Tourism Center.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • These requirements are for tourists staying overnights, or staying for several days, and same day tourists.
  • Book only at LGU and DOT-accredited accommodation establishments. Click here to see the list of DOT-accredited accommodation establishments in Banaue.
  • These requirements shall also apply for children 5-17 years old.
  • Children (of tourists) below 5 years of age are strongly discouraged to travel to Banaue at this time.

2022 BANAUE TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS for TOURISTS & VISITORS January 2022


BANAUE TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS & GUIDELINES

As of December 17, 2021

1. Only fully vaccinated adults and minors are allowed entry. Children below 12 years old are not yet allowed entry.

2. Only tourists with advance booking/travel and accommodation arrangements are allowed entry. No walk-in tourists allowed.

3. Only one hundred (100) tourism arrivals are allowed daily. This excludes incoming government workers on official travel to Banaue, guests of local residents who will host their visitors, and day-tour visitors. Daily arrivals may be allowed to increase depending on favorable conditions.

Banaue Travel Requirements for Stay-in Tourists


1. Visit and register with the Banaue Municipal Tourism Facebook account: BANAUE TOURISM. You may also register via this link. Registration is from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM only. After registration, wait for the approval of your travel application which will be sent to your email account.

2. Upon arrival, proceed to the Banaue Triage Area located at the Municipal Tourism Information Center. Present the following documents for verification:

3. Submit yourselves at the Triage Area for health screening. Symptomatic visitors, regardless of vaccination status, will be immediately isolated, tested at the visitor's expense, and referred to local health officials for further action and advice.

4. Pay the fifty pesos (Php 50.00) environmental fee at the Triage Area. An official receipt will be provided.



Banaue Travel Requirements for Day-Tour Tourists


1. Must be fully vaccinated and must visit and register with the Banaue Municipal Tourism Facebook account: BANAUE TOURISM. You may also register via this link. Registration is from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM only. After registration, wait for the approval of your travel application which will be sent to your email account.

2. Submit yourselves at the Triage Area at the Municipal Tourism Information Center, present your vaccination cards and undergo health screening.

3. Pay the fifty pesos (PH P 50.00) environmental fee at the Triage Area. An official receipt will be provided.

NOTE: Day tour tourists will be issued an entry pass number and should be left at the exit checkpoints.
