UPDATED Dumaguete Travel Requirements for Negros Oriental

Planning a trip to Dumaguete City? Here are the latest Dumaguete travel requirements, entry protocols, and travel guidelines for tourists, visitors and other types of travelers to Negros Oriental!


Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental is under Alert Level 2 from January 1-15, 2022. At the moment, the city is open to tourists, visitors and other types of travelers with relaxed travel requirements and entry protocols. Fully-vaccinated travelers can enter Dumaguete City without the need to present a negative RT-PCR test result, while partially-vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals need to submit some travel requirements. Dumaguete Travel Requirements for Tourists


These travel requirements apply to Returning Local Resident, ROF, OFW, Government Employee/Official Uniformed Personnel, Workers, Special Resident Retiree’s Visa Holder, Tourists and Visitors.

FOR FULLY-VACCINATED TRAVELERS

    UPDATE AS OF NOVEMBER 3, 2021: Starting November 4, 2021, fully vaccinated travelers are now allowed to enter the province of Negros Oriental without having to present any test requirements. In a video released on the Facebook page of the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental, Governor Roel Degamo made this announcement.

    "To enter the province, fully vaccinated travelers can present their vaccination card and a valid ID, a photocopy of which must be given to border control authorities for contact tracing." Degamo said.

  • Vaccination Card with vaccination details. Vaccination Certificate shall be required for fully-vaccinated individuals if vaccination cards doesn't have a QR code or without contact details of your City Health Office (CHO)/Municipal Health Unit (MHU).   • Valid ID.
  • Negative Antigen test result, valid for up to forty-eight (48) hours from the release of result. Click here to know where to get Affordable Antigen Test for travel from DOH-Accredited clinics. Children who are ten (10) years old and below are exempted from this requirement, provided that accompanying adult has a negative Antigen test result.
  • All travelers must have an APPROVED S-PASS from their LGU of final destination.

NOTE: An individual is considered fully-vaccinated if:
  • Two (2) weeks or more have passed after receiving the second dose in a 2-dose series.
  • Two (2) weeks or more have passed after receiving a single-dose vaccine.


FOR UNVACCINATED TRAVELERS

  • All UNVACCINATED travelers are required to present a Negative RT-PCR (swab) test result from DOH-accredited testing centers valid up to 72 hours from date of release.   • All travelers must have an APPROVED S-PASS from their LGU of final destination.

Notes:

  • The following are exempted to the abovementioned travel requirements and shall only be required to present a negative Antigen test result, valid for forty-eight (48) hours upon release of result:
    • Driver and one (1) helper of essential goods and services;
    • Individuals (patient and one [1] accompanying person) traveling for medical purposes;
    • Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APOR) undertaking intelligence works.
