UPDATED BOHOL TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS for Tourists and Visitors 2022

Planning a trip to Bohol this 2022? What are the requirements to travel to Bohol? Here are the latest Bohol travel requirements and entry protocols for tourists and visitors traveling to Bohol!


Many tourist destinations in the Philippines are now open to tourists; one of them is the Province of Bohol. As of January 1, 2022, Bohol is under Alert Level 2 Quarantine Classification until January 15, 2022. Leisure travels are allowed in Bohol for fully-vaccinated, partially-vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers. Please see below the updated list of travel requirements you need to secure before traveling to Bohol.

Bohol Travel Requirements for Tourists and Visitors


FOR FULLY-VACCINATED TRAVELERS:


Effective immediately, Executive Order Nos. 52 and 52-A are amended requiring only the following for fully vaccinated travelers to the Province of Bohol:
  • Vaccination Card issued by any LGU, DOH-accredited medical institution, private company, and foreign country or any State/Province thereof authenticated by DOH-BOQ.
  • Government-Issued Identification Card.
  • S-Pass Travel Pass (Approved or Pending Approval).

FOR PARTIALLY-VACCINATED & UNVACCINATED TRAVELERS:

  • Valid RT-PCR negative test result from DOH-accredited laboratories taken not more than 72 hours prior to traveler's departure to Bohol.
  • Individuals aged 5 to 17 years old must also present a valid negative RT-PCR test result taken not more than 72 hours before flight departure.
  • Children aged 1 to 4 years old are exempted from RT-PCR test result requirement.

  • Government-Issued Identification Card
  • Approved S-Pass Travel Coordination Permit from the LGU of destination.

Notes:

  • An individual is considered fully-vaccinated if:
    • Two (2) weeks or more have passed after receiving the second dose in a 2-dose series;
    • Two (2) weeks or more have passed after receiving a single-dose vaccine;
    • Vaccine administered is included in the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) list or Compassionate Special Permit (CSP) issued by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA); or Emergency Use listing of the World Health Organization (WHO).

  • It is also recommended to pre-book your tours with DOT-accredited tour operators. Tourists are not allowed to have DIY tours, and they are highly discouraged from engaging in personal activities outside of the tourism bubble.   • Tourists are also highly discouraged from visiting and/or meeting with relatives and friends who are in Bohol.

Bohol Travel Requirements for Tourists and Visitors (October 2021)


FOR FULLY-VACCINATED TRAVELERS:

  • Fully vaccinated individuals may now enter Bohol without showing a negative RT-PCR test result starting October 25, 2021 until further notice. Only a vaccination certificate generated through www.vaxcert.doh.gov.ph and duly authenticated and validated by the DOH-Bureau of Quarantine is required.   • An individual is considered fully-vaccinated if:
    • Two (2) weeks or more have passed after receiving the second dose in a 2-dose series;
    • Two (2) weeks or more have passed after receiving a single-dose vaccine;

    • On the same website, click “Tourist Registration”.
    • Wait for email confirmation, which will contain the download link for the tourist application and instructions on how to register for the QR Code.
    • Make sure you have a printed copy of the QR Code once you enter Bohol.


FOR PARTIALLY-VACCINATED & UNVACCINATED TRAVELERS:

  • Partially vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals must submit a valid RT-PCR negative test result with swab from DOH accredited laboratories or saliva sample from Philippine Red Cross taken not more than 72 hours prior to traveler's departure to Bohol.     • Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated individuals aged 5 to 17 years old, must also present a valid negative RT-PCR test result taken not more than 72 hours before flight departure. Children aged 1 to 4 years old are exempted from this requirement.
  • Approved S-Pass Travel Coordination Permit from the LGU of destination.
  • Valid Government-issued ID.

  • All incoming tourists will be issued a QR code which would serve as their contact tracing system while inside Bohol.
  • Tourists must have printed copies of the required documents on hand when they enter Bohol.
  • For tourists staying in the Municipality of Panglao, you are required to register at the LGU portal, www.panglaolgu.gov.ph. Registered tourists will be issued a letter of acceptance prior to arrival. Failure to present Letter/s of Acceptance will not be allowed to stay in the Municipality.
  • For ROF (Returning Overseas Filipinos)/Foreign Nationals: Follow protocols based on IATF Resolution 143.

  • It is also recommended to pre-book your tours with DOT-accredited tour operators.   • Do not attemp to submit fake vaccination certificate, RT-PCR or S-Pass. Those who will be caught using fake documents will have to pay 5,000 pesos fine, will be quarantined for 5 days at their own expense at a DOT-accredited quarantine facility, and will undergo RT-PCR testing on the 5th day. All expenses will be shouldered by the violator.
