Caleruega Church in Batangas, also known as the "Transfiguration Chapel", was originally founded in 1995. Located in Batulao, Brgy. Kaylaway in Nasugbu, Batangas, it is a lovely church perched on top of a hill and surrounded by panoramic views of breathtaking scenery.

The chapel quite small, but has a beautiful architecture, and a very peaceful ambiance. It is an ideal church for people who wants to spend some quiet time and to admire the beauty of the Church and of nature.

Known as one of the most popular wedding churches near Tagaytay, it is a charming and heavenly venue for a memorable wedding ceremony.

Aside from weddings, Caleruega is also a place for retreats and recollection activities. It is also an ideal venue for prayer meetings, youth camps, religious gatherings and seminars.

Caleruega Church Opening Hours and Mass Schedule


Caleruega Church is open daily from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm. Please note of the break times from 12:00 nn to 01:00 pm (Monday-Saturday) and 10:30 am to 01:00 pm on Sunday. Regular mass service is held at the Chapel of Transfiguration every Sunday at 11:00 am.

How to get to Caleruega Church?


By Private Car

If you’re bringing a car, just use Waze or Google Maps and search for Caleruega Church. Just follow the route and it will take you there.

By Public Transportation (Bus) from Manila

If you’re taking the bus from Metro Manila, go to PITX in ParaΓ±aque City and take a bus going to Nasugbu, Batangas. Be sure take the Nasugbu-bound bus that takes Aguinaldo hi-way and Tagaytay City. Tell the driver or the bus fare collector that you will alight at Hillcrest (also known as Evercrest). Or just tell the bus fare collector that you are going to Caleruega Church. Bus fare is around 130 pesos per person.

Upon arrival at Hillcrest, take a tricycle to Caleruega Church. Tricycle fare is around 50 pesos.

Total travel time is 2-3 hours depending on the traffic condition along Aguinaldo hi-way and Tagaytay.

By Public Transportation (Jeepney) from Tagaytay

If you’re already in Tagaytay City, just take a jeepney bound for Nasugbu and alight at Hillcrest or Evercrest. Fare is 25 pesos. From there, take a tricycle to Caleruega Church for 50 pesos.
