TRAVEL GUIDE: How to get to the "Valley of Colors" in La Trinidad, Benguet

"Valley of Colors" is one of the newest tourist attractions near Baguio City. Located along the main road of La Trinidad, Benguet, this giant artwork is composed of lovely and colorful houses erected at the hillside of Barangay Balili. Inspired by the favela paintings in Brazil, it is composed of the 3 sitios of Barangay Balili, namely Stone Hill, Botiwtiw and Sadjap.

This giant artwork is an awesome welcome as you enter the municipality of La Trinidad. The "Valley of Colors" is exactly located just a few meters away from the La Trinidad welcome arch and Bell Church. So, if you've been to Bell Church before, you will not have a hard time getting to the site where the Valley of Colors is.

Getting to the Valley of Colors in La Trinidad Benguet from Manila is easy. First, travel from Manila to Baguio City.

How to Get to La Trinidad Benguet from Baguio City


By Taxi: The easiest and most convenient way to get to the Valley of Colors is to take a taxi from anywhere in Baguio City. Depending from where you hailed the taxi, fare is about 100.00 pesos. Travel time is less than 30 minutes.

By Private Car: From Session Road, turn right to Magsaysay Avenue. Upon reaching the stoplight near Baguio Center Mall, turn left and continue driving along Magsaysay Avenue until you reach Halsema Hi-way which connects Baguio City to La Trinidad. Just keep driving until you reach the welcome arch of La Trinidad, Benguet. The Valley of Colors can be found at the right side of the road, about 10-15 meters from the welcome arch.

By Jeepney: Get to La Trinidad Jeepney Terminal in Baguio City. Take the jeepney which will pass by the "Valley of Colors" located at the right side of the road. You will not miss it, as it is just a few meters away from the La Trinidad welcome arch. Travel time is less than 30 minutes (depending on traffic condition) and fare is around 9.00 pesos.

The "Valley of Colors" is a project of the Department of Tourism Cordillera Administrative Region and the Municipality of La Trinidad together with The Province of Benguet and Davies Paint. The concept for the final look of the artwork was designed and provided by the Tam-awan Village Artists Group.

  1. The fare from Baguio is just 8.50 and medyo matagal na ang 30mins travel time. Maybe ganun if traffic. :) but yeah, this mural is worth seeing when you're in Baguio/ La Trinidad.
