The gastronomic adventure in Angeles City continues. This time, we're dining at SAB Bistro, one of the most regarded restaurants in Angeles City. Located in the busy Mc Arthur hi-way, it is not hard to find as it is just within a commercial complex. Honestly, I have high expectations from SAB Bistro as I've heard a lot of good reviews about them. Were my expectations met? Hmmmmmm...? Read on.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was impressed by its chic and stylish ambiance. I certainly love the couches and spacious fixture where one can really enjoy their dining experience and relish the food with the company of friends and family. The comfortable couches and look of SAB Bistro's interiors make you feel at home.
Not to be missed is the nice-looking light fixtures hanging at the restaurant's ceiling. Also, the color combination inside is so appealing which surely makes any dining experience truly memorable.
Here are the dishes we got to try for lunch during the recently concluded Metro Angeles Food Tour 2014:
Butternut Squash Soup (PHP 95.00)Creamy butternut squash soup with rich, sweet flavor.
Salad Sabine (PHP 160.00)Mixed greens, caramelized apples, water buffalo’s milk cheese, cottage cheese and toasted walnuts with raspberry vinaigrette. This is the first time I've tasted a salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing. It is so good!
Buffalo wings & vegetable crudités w/ blue cheese dip (PHP 160.00)Crispy and tender chicken wings. The veggies are crunchy and the blue cheese dip complements the whole dish. This is best eaten with your hands. Finger-licking good!
Baked Mussels (PHP 170.00)Huge New Zealand mussels baked to perfection. It has lots of cheese on topped with herbs and spices. Tasty and very flavorful. The herbs and spices create a burning feeling in your mouth. Yummy!
Chicken Enchilada Casserole (PHP 145.00)Shredded chicken with white sauce wrapped in soft flour tortilla and then topped with sweet tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
Chicken Pesto Sandwich (PHP 140.00)Grilled pesto chicken, Shitake mushrooms with mozzarella cheese in Ciabatta bread and served with house potato chips. The chicken is moist and flavorful. The presentation is very appetizing that I want to call it "Love, love, love Sandwich!" Hahaha!
Pasta La Mer (PHP 170.00)Penne in seafood cream sauce topped with sauteed prawns. It's creamy, rich seafood pasta with zesty and bright sauce. A very delightful pasta dish.
Seared Salmon with Spinacci (PHP 295.00)A delightful pan seared salmon dish topped with Spinacci sauce. It is then paired with mashed potatoes and veggies. A very flavorful dish!
Grilled chicken fillet with lemon butter sauce (PHP 210.00)Grilled and herbed chicken thigh fillet with mixed veggies and lemon butter sauce on the side. I love the smokey flavor of the grilled chicken. It is juicy and tastes so good even without the lemon butter sauce.
Beef Salpicao (PHP 220.00)Marinated and stir-fried beef sirloin or tenderloin and topped with fried garlic. A simple yet delicious dish.
Prawn Thermidor (PHP 310.00)Butterflied tiger prawns with Chef’s secret recipe topping and mozzarella cheese.
Wagyu Ribeye (PHP 450.00)Grilled ribeye of Grade 4 Wagyu beef with herbed red wine sauce. Oh well, it is so tender and very flavorful. This is definitely one of my favorites.
Cookie Surprise (P110)Deep fried Oreos dipped in donut batter, served with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. I love the contrast given by the hot Oreos and the frozen vanilla ice cream.
Red Velvet Cheesecake (PHP 145.00)Moist layers of Red Velvet Cake and creamy Cheesecake. This one is sinfully delicious.
Chocolate Heaven (PHP 160.00)Chef's favorite inspired by Serendipity III's Frozen Hot Chocolate TM in New York City. It looks yummy from the presentation alone and tastes just as good.
House Blend Iced Tea (PHP 55.00)Specially blended for a perfectly smooth, refreshing iced tea brew.
Overall, our lunch at the SAB Bistro is something I could personally say that is truly memorable. The place is so cozy and very stylish. The staff are polite and attentive to the needs of the customers. Their dishes are presented well and uses high quality ingredients which is evident in its scrumptious taste. They might be a bit pricey, but I must say, you'll certainly get what your money is worth.
So if you're looking for a restaurant in Angeles City that will leave a lasting memory on your taste buds, dine at SAB Bistro! I'll definitely dine here again when I visit Angeles City in the future. Highly Recommended!
