Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga is home to some of the country's best companies which ranges from garments, food, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), aviation to manufacturing. It is also a bustling hub for education, entertainment, gaming, leisure and tourism in the Philippines with the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF) held yearly inside the Freeport zone. One of the most well-known companies inside the Freeport zone is La Rose Noire, a Swiss boulangerie, patisserie and confiserie company.

It was established in 1991 by GĂ©rard Dubois by opening the first La Rose Noire Patisserie in Hong Kong. From it's humble beginnings, La Rose Noire now has over 500 varieties in its product line, supplying the needs of all sectors in the market. They are now one of the leading suppliers of pastry products to over 35 countries in Europe, Australia, Asia, Middle East and North America.

As our first stop for the Metro Angeles Food Tour 2014, we visited La Rose Noire and sampled some of their export quality pastry products:

All of them are mouthwatering and delectable. Pastries are of high quality using top of the line ingredients and follow a very strict standard in pastry and bread making. The sweet and savory pastries are so good, I think it's the best I've had so far.

This is part of Metro Angeles Food Tour 2014 that happened on July 5-7, 2014. #MAFT2014 is a gastronomic adventure in Metro Angeles (Pampanga) participated by 12 bloggers from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
