Quirino province unveils new brand in a virtual tour of its tourist attractions

“Quirino: Your Basket of Happiness.”


This is the new tagline that the province of Quirino gave itself in an online rebranding video presentation that was launched on November 4, 2021, on the province’s official Facebook page, in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) and Tourism Promotions Board (TPB). Hosted by Karen Ibasco, Miss Earth 2017, the presentation served as a “virtual tour” of the province that showcased its many tourist attractions.

Quirino province to launch new tourism brand online

The Province of Quirino, in partnership with the Department of the Tourism and the Tourism Promotions Board, is holding an online launch of its new tourism brand on November 4, 2021. The launch will be conducted through the official Facebook page of the province at 6:00 PM and it will also be featured on the ANC channel on November 6, 2021.

This 3-day trip to Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino and Isabela happened last March 2-4, 2012. I travelled by land in going to these provinces and took a flight back to Manila from Cauayan City, Isabela on the 3rd day. Being a first timer in these provinces (except for Isabela), I got to experience a different adventure while learning a lot from the places I've visited. Here's how it went...

Quirino - Chasing Maddela Waterfalls

Maddela is considered as the most progressive and is the commercial center of the province of Quirino. Unknown to many, this town boasts to have a 7-staged waterfalls known as Maddela Waterfalls. Located in Brgy. Dumabato Sur, the falls offers shimmering catch basins perfect for swimming. They also have some picnic huts available for a group or family gatherings.

Quirino - Spelunking at the Aglipay Caves

Quirino province may not be a usual tourist destination, but it certainly has a lot to offer especially for adventure seekers. One of the major tourist drawers of the province are the Aglipay Caves. Surrounded with several hectares of pristine forest in the heart of the province, the cave system can be found in Barangay Villa Ventura in the town of Aglipay. It is composed of 37 caves, 8 of which have been developed as tourist spots recommended for camping activities and other outdoor functions.
