We all know that the year 2020 is not a good year for travel. Despite what happened, I am still optimistic and hopeful that 2021 will be a better year! Let's pray for that!


There are many holidays in the Philippines and long weekends this 2021. Start planning to make the most of these holidays!

President Rodrigo Duterte thru the Malacanang Palace released the list of Regular Holidays and Special (non-working) Holidays for the year 2021 through Proclamation No. 986 s. 2020.

The said proclamation lists 10 regular holidays, 7 special non-working holidays and 2 additional special non-working days for 2021, most of it also give the chance for us to enjoy several long weekends. This is indeed good news for Filipinos who love to travel because it gives more time for us to enjoy the holidays with the long weekends that can be spent on a vacation here or abroad.

  • June 12 - Independence Day
  • August 30 (last Monday of August) - National Heroes Day

Additional Holidays in the Philippines


The proclamations declaring national holidays for Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha will be issued soon after the dates of the Islamic holidays have been determined. The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has been designated to inform the Office of the President of the actual dates when the holidays will fall.

Proclamation No. 1107


On February 26, 2021, President Rodrigo Duterte amended some non-working holidays through Proclamation No. 1107 declaring All Souls' Day (November 2), Christmas Eve (December 24), and Last day of the year (December 31) as Special Working Days.

As stated in the proclamation, "for the country to recover from the adverse economic productivity by, among others, minimizing work disruption and commemorating some special holiday as special (working) days instead." See Proclamation No. 1107 below.
