For me and for many travelers, El Nido, Palawan is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the Philippines. It offers so many thrilling and exciting things to do that every traveler will surely enjoy. It is a tropical paradise where you will find natural beauty, stunning beaches, idyllic islands, and amazing lagoons.
If you're visiting El Nido soon, I highly recommend that you plan your trip very well. Be sure to research on basic information such how to get there, where to stay, what are the must-visit destinations, the island hopping tours to take and many more. Having a sample itinerary that you could follow during your trip will also make your trip more convenient and less stressful. In my previous trip to El Nido, I really had a memorable time. With this, let me share to you some detailed El Nido itineraries that you can use as your guide in creating your own itinerary for your trip.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS: Before traveling to El Nido, be sure to check the latest El Nido, Palawan Travel Requirements and Updated Entry Protocols. Have your confirmed hotel/resort booking ready and other documents such as negative RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen test (if needed) for your trip to El Nido.

UPDATE: As of October 2021, the Province of Palawan in under Modified General Community Quarantine or MGCQ. Currently, non-essential and leisure travels are allowed in El Nido, but subject to travel requirements set by the LGU of your destination in Palawan. Only tourists coming from areas under Alert Level 4 and below to areas under GCQ and MGCQ shall be allowed entry to El Nido. 3D/2N: El Nido Itinerary (3 Days and 2 Nights)
What to do in El Nido if you only have 3 days and 2 nights to spend? Here is my suggested 3 days and 2 nights El Nido itinerary that you could copy or follow. You can adjust this depending on the times of your flights, the things you want to do in El Nido, and tourist spots you want to visit. For this, it would be great if you could fly directly from Manila to El Nido. But if you're flying in via Puerto Princesa City, book the earliest available flight from Manila. On your last day, book the last flight out of Puerto Princesa in the evening. This will give you more time to explore El Nido.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN EL NIDO / EXPLORE THE TOWN
- 06:00 AM - Departure from Manila to Puerto Princesa City, Palawan
- 07:00 AM - Arrival at Puerto Princesa City Airport
- 08:00 AM - Travel from Puerto Princesa to El Nido [ BOOK TRANSPORTATION HERE! ]
- 12:00 NN - Lunch at the rest stop on the way to El Nido
- 02:00 PM - Arrive in El Nido, Check-in at hotel/resort
- 03:00 PM - Explore the town, eat, enjoy the sunset at Corong-Corong Beach
- 07:00 PM - Dinner at El Nido Art Cafe
- 08:00 PM - Have some drinks
- 09:30 PM - Back at the hotel/resort
- 10:00 PM - Sleep

- 06:30 PM - Arrive at Puerto Princesa Airport
- 08:30 PM - Travel back to Manila
4D/3N: El Nido Itinerary (4 Days and 3 Nights)
For me, the most ideal El Nido itinerary is 4 days and 3 nights. This is my most-recommended El Nido itinerary for first-timers. With this, you could enjoy 2 full days of island hopping adventure, climb taraw cliff and explore the town. If you're traveling to El Nido via Puerto Princesa City, it's best if you book the earliest available flight from Manila. When going back to Manila, book the last available flight from Puerto Princesa - preferable in the evening. Alternatively, you may also opt to stay for one more night in Puerto Princesa City so you'll have enough time and won't miss your flight to Manila.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN EL NIDO / EXPLORE THE TOWN

If you have more time to spend in El Nido, let's say 5 days and 4 nights, you may add another day of island hopping adventure. You may avail El Nido Tour B or El Nido Tour D. For the flights, I still recommend taking an early morning flight to Puerto Princesa and an evening flight for your flight back to Manila.

6D/5N OR MORE: El Nido Itinerary (6 Days and 5 Nights or More)
If you plan to stay longer in El Nido, you could also visit other popular attractions such as Nacpan and Calitang Twin Beaches and Nagkalit-kalit Falls. This tour is commonly known as El Nido Tour E or "Inland Tour: Beaches and Waterfalls". Other destinations to visit in El Nido are Las Cabanas, Marimegmeg Beach, Mangrove Eco Park, Kuyawayaw Waterfalls and Sibaltan Beach.
When in El Nido, you may also avail a Discover Scuba Diving Experience. You can even travel to Port Barton in San Vicente and enjoy Port Barton Island Hopping Tour, explore San Vicente via Land Tour or go on a Boayan Island Tour, also in San Vicente.
If you really have more time, you may also consider exploring other worthy places outside El Nido, such as the municipalities of Taytay, Linapacan, Puerto Princesa City (before flying out of Palawan) and even Coron.
