The Ultimate Guide to Los Angeles

THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO LOS ANGELES

Los Angeles is one of the most famous and visited cities in the world. It became popular over the years due to its amazing beaches, perfect weather, and for being the city where all the blockbuster movies are made. Visiting Los Angeles is one of the best decisions you have made – or about to make – because this city is a sight to behold.

However, before you would venture into going to any place for the first time you need to know the ins and outs of that place – there is nothing better than having a guide when you are at a new place for the first time. This is why we have put together a little something that would guide you all through your stay in LA!

• The first place you should get familiar with is the beach – you can never go wrong with a beach day! But still, you need to know the beaches close to you and how to get there. There is a lot you need to know about the beaches in LA. Number one, entry is free except for parking space. But you didn’t know that parking on the streets close to the beach is free! See, you need this guide. Make sure you get there early though because a lot of LA residents know this already. Secondly, you should know the beaches that are available and their locations.

Here is a list of the beaches in LA
  • Venice
  • Santa Monica Pier
  • Malibu
  • Carbon (Billionaire’s Beach)
  • El Matador State

These are the common beaches in Los Angeles, and they all come with their peculiarities and all. Anyone of them you go to would be an awesome idea.

• The next place you should try is Hollywood Boulevard. There are no buts to this – you don’t even have to spend a dime. Besides, who would visit LA for the first time and not check Hollywood out? It’s Hollywood! The Boulevard is one of the main attractions of Hollywood. The stars lined up on the ground with names of great celebrities lined up on each one is just something to add to your bucket list. Did you know that there are 2,600 stars in total right now? The only way you can find out is by going there to see them and count them by yourself. You should reward yourself at the shopping mall and with an amazing meal after counting all those stars.

• You can’t take away the Hollywood sign out of Hollywood! This is one place you must visit in Hollywood – you should get arrested or something if you don’t. This sign is one of the most famous signs in Hollywood, if not in the world. It is the most famous landmark in all of LA, and seeing it would give you a lot to tell your friends when you get home. But do you know something better? You can see it up close! Get your stuff prepared for the trip and make sure your camera is ready for lots of photos. You won’t spend a sign on the trip, but there are no signs to guide you – so be careful.

• Griffith Park is another place to check in Los Angeles. It is one of the biggest parks in the United States and is even bigger than the famous Central Park Zoo in New York. In the famous Griffith Park, you would find the Griffith Observatory, the Los Angeles Zoo, the Greek Theatre, and the Travel Town Train Museum, just to mention a few. All you need is to take a stroll and witness the awesome splendour this place has in store for you.

• One last place we have to mention, sadly, is the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. This is the most prominent cemetery in LA, and it is the place where most famous names in history were buried. You must definitely check this one out!

In Conclusion

Now that we have mentioned a few places you can go to in LA; there is also a need to explain how our fellow International travellers can get into the US, all the way to see all the great sights in Los Angeles. First of all, they have to know what ESTA is. What is ESTA, you ask? ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) is an automated system that determines if you are eligible to enter into the US under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). However, you should note that the ESTA does not guarantee that you would be granted entry into the US. It is the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that makes the final determination of your entry, and they have the right to deny or cancel ESTA if they suspect your application info to be false. This is why you should always check ESTA status from time to time.
