Ultimate Luxury and Comfort at Sedona Hotel Yangon, Myanmar

Everyone understands the joy of staying in a hotel. But choosing the best hotel especially when traveling abroad can be quite hard and daunting if it's your first-time in the place you're traveling to. You can choose your desired hotel according to your needs, satisfaction, comfort, and budget. But for me, location and amenities are very important and on top of my considerations when choosing a hotel. With the numerous hotels that are available in a certain location, it might get difficult in choosing which one you should check into.

Staying in a nice and luxurious hotel is a treat I give to myself every now and then. The experience of having fresh, turned-down sheets, the amazing views, the relaxing feel and comforts of fully-equipped room, nice hot shower, and the luxurious amenities and facilities that a 5-star hotel can give are all what I crave for. That is why, when we traveled to Yangon in Myanmar, I never think twice and booked a room at Sedona Hotel Yangon.

Sedona Hotel Yangon is a luxury property with upscale services, lush gardens, huge swimming pool, and comfortable and elegant room accommodations. Being so close to a lot of restaurants, nightspots, shopping mall, and famous landmarks, Sedona Hotel Yangon is an ideal place to stay whether you're on business or leisure trip in Yangon, Myanmar. It's in the heart of the city where you could easily get around places of interests such as Swedagon Pagoda, Bogyoke Aung San Market, and Sule Pagoda, among many other tourist spots and attractions in Yangon.

Upon arrival at Sedona Hotel, we were hospitably welcomed by the hotel staff and greeted us with warm smiles. We then proceeded to the reception area to check-in. Since we have prior reservations, checking-in was fast and efficient.

Premier Deluxe Room

Our room is a Premier Deluxe Room equipped with essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay. It is highlighted with two comfy beds with thick mattress and joined together with a small bed table at the middle. They are complemented with clean white sheets, fluffy pillows and thick comforters. I quickly tried it and it really feels soft, comfy and my back loves it. What an awesome treat for myself after our 10-hour bus ride from Bagan.

Other essential room amenities include cable TV with premium channels, individually-controlled and silent air-conditioning unit, in-room safe, bathrobes and bedroom slippers, luggage rack, a work desk, a small breakfast nook, cabinets, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a mini bar with complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea-making equipment.

Aside from the room amenities, guests staying in the Premier Deluxe Room can also enjoy personalized check-in and check-out service, nightly turn-down service, complimentary mini-bar, pillow menu, complimentary choice of evening beverages, and free laundry service for up to 3 pieces of garments per day. With these room amenities, you'll certainly feel the luxury and comfort of your stay.

As I sneaked into the equally luxurious toilet and bath, I was amazed! It's spacious, clean and well-kept marble-clad bathroom. There's a clean water closet with bidet spray, an enclosed shower area with hot and cold shower feature and excellent water pressure, and a bath tub.

Branded toilettries such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and bath soap, as well as vanity and dental care kits were provided. For guests' comfort and convenience, high-quality bath and face towels were also provided. What else could I ask for?

Wondering what is the view from our room's windows? It's the hotel's lovely swimming and the Inya Lake!

Food and Beverage Service

Sedona Hotel Yangon has 5 dining outlets such as D’CUISINE, Du Fu, Lobby Lounge, Orzo and Cho. We got to dine at D’CUISINE for our daily complimentary breakfast. Located at the ground floor of Inya Wing, D’CUISINE is an all-day dining restaurant offering local and international dishes.

We really had an awesome dining experience at D’CUISINE. The food at the buffet were all delectable and appetizing. There are different meat, fish, chicken and vegetables dishes to choose from. There's also a variety of breads, pastries and fresh fruits for desserts. Must-try are the Japanese and Chinese Sections, the breads, and my favorite – the "make your own Nasi Lemak" section! D’CUISINE is open daily from 05.30 AM to 10.30 PM.

The swimming pool also offers a mini Jacuzzi, sunken mini bar, and other amenities that the whole family will surely enjoy.
