Witness the Spectacular Opening Ceremonies of the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

With the theme, "Rising Together", signifying the coming of age for Southeast Asia as a community, the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is one of the most-anticipated sporting events in the region. The opening ceremonies for the 29th edition of the South East Asian Games was held last August 19, 2017 at Malaysia's National Stadium in Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur.

More than 4,000 athletes from 11 nations competing in 38 different sports in 404 events particpated in this year's SEA Games. The opening ceremony was highlighted with the parade of athletes from the 11 participating nations with pride and honor in carrying their national flag. Aside from the performances, another highlight of the opening ceremony was the lighting of the cauldron which signifies the unity of the South East Asian nations.


In line with it's #DareToDream campaign, AirAsia supports this year's SEA Games as the official airline partner of the 2017 South East Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur.
