During our Rodeo Festival 2017 trip to Masbate City, we stayed at Balay Valencia Hotel. This hotel is an old house that was converted into a nice and charming bed and breakfast hotel. Centrally located at the city proper, Balay Valencia is along Ibanez street near the Rodeo Arena, park, city hall, provincial capitol, restaurants and fast food chains, banks, and other business and commercial establishments.

Our room is a Triple Occupancy Room with one double bed and one single bed. It has a private toilet and bath, a cabinet, television set with cable channels, a small dinette set, and air-conditioning unit. The room is pretty basic, but it is clean and well-organized. Basic toiletries such as shampoo, bath soap, and tissue paper, as well as clean bath towels were also provided.

Every booking also comes with a complimentary set breakfast, coffee, and bottled water. It changes everyday, so even if you're staying for multiple nights, you won't get bored with the breakfast they serve.

What I also love about staying at Balay Valencia is that there is a coffee shop at the ground floor where we spent some of our time just hanging around while enjoying a good cup of coffee. Also, there's Skin City Spa just beside the coffee shop where we had a relaxing foot spa. Be sure to check out Skin City when visiting Masbate City and choose from their wide array of services. This is a great way to end your day after exploring the different tourist spots and attractions in Masbate City.
