Aliwan Fiesta na!!!

Are you ready for this year's biggest gathering of the grandest festivals in the Philippines? Dubbed as "Festivals of Festivals," Aliwan Fiesta 2016 is set to happen on April 14-16, 2016. This annual gathering of different festivals from around the Philippines will once again feature contingents from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao showcasing unique culture and tradition through their colorful festivals. Aliwan Fiesta 2016 will be a 3-day event where participants will compete in a grand street dancing competition, glittering float parade, Reyna ng Aliwan pageant and a Festival Music Showdown.

Organized yearly by the Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC), in collaboration with Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the Cities of Manila and Pasay, Aliwan Fiesta 2016 recognizes and aims to promote the different festivals in the Philippines. Now on its 14th year, Aliwan Fiesta 2016 will also showcase nightly shows and trade fairs that will surely add to the fiesta atmosphere in CCP Complex.

The Grand Street Dancing and Float Parade Competitions will start at 4:00 PM from Quirino Grandstand and will pass through Roxas Boulevard, going to the designated final showdown area in front along Sotto Street, CCP Complex, Manila.

Taking part in the grand national showdown among regional festival champions are Tribu Katbalaugan for the Manaragat Festival of Samar, the Niyugyugan Festival of Quezon, Laguna’s Anilag Festival, Baguio City’s Panagbenga, Maguindanao’s Meguyaya and Sagayan Festivals, Boling-Boling of Catanauan, and Iloilo Dinagyang’s Tribu Salognon and Tribu Panayanon.
