HOTELS IN HA LONG BAY: Halong Plaza Hotel, Bai Chay District, Halong City Vietnam

During our trip to Halong Bay, we were billeted at Halong Plaza Hotel located in Bai Chay District, Halong City. It is a 4-star hotel with 200 rooms and suites offering classy and luxurious amenities to cater tourists and business travelers visiting Halong City. Not just that, it also has a very nice view of Bai Chay Bridge and a great view of the impressive Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Its location is ideal if you're exploring Halong Bay as Halong Plaza Hotel is located near the port where ships are taken to explore Halong Bay.

Upon arrival, I was impressed at Halong Plaza Hotel's huge lobby with high ceiling and glass windows. It is well-lit and really exudes grandeur and sophistication.

Our room is a spacious Superior Twin Room with 2 single beds complemented with clean white sheets, plush comforters and fluffy pillows.

The room is a bit old but still well-kept. It also has a small receiving area with sofas and a tiny table with welcome fruits.

The room is equipped with all the much-needed amenities for a comfortable stay. Such as an air-conditioning unit, a television set with cable channels, telephone, a working desk, an en suite toilet and bath and a mini bar with coffee and tea making equipment.

The toilet and bath is also spacious and well-organized. It has a bath tub, a walk-in shower area featuring hot and cold shower with excellent water pressure and a lavatory with huge mirror.

Toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, shower gel, dental and vanity kits were also provided.

Breakfast was served at Four Seasons Restaurant the following morning. The buffet breakfast is composed of local and international dishes which I happily devoured. Hahaha! It was good!

I wanted to explore more the facilities of Halong Plaza Hotel, but I wasn't able to see them as we were scheduled to leave early for our Halong Bay Tour. I heard they have a very nice outdoor swimming pool, a sauna and a fitness gym. I guess, I have to try them next time.

It was a sweet and short stay but I really enjoyed it. The rooms are very nice, the staff are genuinely accommodating and the breakfast buffet was great! I wouldn't think twice in staying at Halong Plaza Hotel if I visit Halong Bay again anytime soon.
