Where to Eat in Kapitolyo Pasig Pomodoro Pizza

Pomodoro Pizza is one of the many "hole-in-the-wall" food shops sprouting in Kapitolyo, Pasig City. It offers gourmet Italian cuisines such as pizza and pasta that will surely delight your cravings for good and affordable food. Located in a small space along San Rafael cor Sta Rosa Sts. in West Kapitolyo, it exudes a no-frills and very casual dining experience with a few tables catering to dine-in guests.

As mentioned to us by one of the owners, everything they serve is homemade. The thin-crust used in their pizzas are freshly-made and hand-rolled. They also have their Signature Pomodoro sauce, which is their own secret recipe used in their tomato based pasta dishes and pizzas. It takes time before your order is served, but I don't mind because they don't use pre-cooked ingredients, so waiting is not an issue.

We got to try three of their best-sellers starting off with Spaghetti with Meatballs (PHP 119.00). The spaghetti is cooked just right, and then topped with their signature Pomodoro sauce, meatballs, cheese, and served with garlic bread on the side. I am not a fan of spaghetti that are sour in taste. But this one is quite okay for my taste. My friend actually loved it. But still, I prefer the sweet Filipino-style spaghetti.

Next is their Carbonarra (PHP 109.00) which has home-made BΓ©chamel sauce and sprinkled generously with parmesan cheese and smoked bacon slices. This one I liked very much. I just love the right flavors and the consistency of the sauce. It's creamy and flavorful.

For the pizza, we had their House Special Pizza (10" PHP 169.00 / 12" PHP 199.00). It has thin and crispy crust with their signature Pomodoro sauce and topped with onions, ham, bacon, olives, bell pepper, pineapples, mozzarella cheese, cheddar and a secret cheese. It was really good and I'd recommend it for you to try! Just add a little bit of hot sauce to let it burst with added flavor.
