Beaches in Mindanao Gumasa Beach Glan Sarangani

I traveled with my friends to Sarangani Province and visited one of its most popular tourist destinations - Gumasa Beach in the town of Glan. I really have high expectations about this beach because of the photos I saw in the internet. Long shoreline with fine white sand and azure blue waters, that's how I imagined Gumasa Beach is. But to my surprise, it was not how I expected it to be. Really? This is Gumasa Beach? I am disappointed.

Glan Sarangani Province

On our 3rd day in South Cotabato, we visited the town of Glan in Saranggani province. From General Santos City, we took a passenger van that brought us to Glan. Upon arriving at the town center, we hurriedly searched for a place to eat. We were really very hungry at that time. The locals told us that we go to the market where we could find some eateries serving decent food. So, we did.

Last August 3-6, 2012, I went on a journey with my friends Rom and Edmund to South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and Sarangani; my 72nd, 73rd and 74th Provinces! We had so much fun trying out local cuisines, riding the zip line, exploring the waterfalls, checking out a capitol building, museum and ancestral houses, meeting a national living artist, beach bumming and pasalubong shopping. We really had an awesome time just hanging around and exploring the stunning sights of these provinces in SOCKSARGEN Region.
