When I was a kid, I always hang my socks on our simple Christmas Tree with high hopes that when I wake up on Christmas day, I will get the gift I've been wishing for. It has been an essential part of the Christmas tradition for every kids, in the belief that it is to be filled with presents by Santa Claus. That's the beauty of being a kid, knowing and believing that dreams and wishes do come true.
All these, flashed back to my memories as we joined Midori Hotel and Casino's Angels' Dream Project 2018. Now on its third year, the Angels' Dream Project is the Corporate Social Responsibility program of Midori Clark Hotel and Casino which aims to fulfill the wishes of 800 Aeta kids.
It's the season of giving and sharing your blessings. And it's the time of the year again when children around the world are writing their Christmas wishes with the hope that Santa will leave that special gift for them under the tree on Christmas day.
Midori Hotel played Santa to some 800 kids of Pampanga as they make their simple wishes come true. More than a month after the launch and hanging of the kids' wishes on the hotel's huge Christmas tree, some of the 800 kids are back to the hotel to receive their presents and fulfill their dreams. Aside from the kids who attended the gift-giving day, company representatives will personally visit schools in Sapang Bato, Sitio Target and Monicayo, Haduan, Calapi, Macapagal and Marcos Village to deliver their Christmas wishes.
Simple wishes such as new shoes or clothes, some grocery items for the family, or school supplies really made these kids happy. During the gift-giving day, a program was held for a complete Christmas treats for the kids. Midori’s Top management were present such as Midori Clark Hotel General Manager Vic Chan and Midori Clark Casino General Manager Mr. Manny Aure. Assisted as well during the distribution are the Top Management of the Midori Clark subsidiaries, VIPs and queens of Ms. Midori Clark 2018.
During the distribution, Jumong Rogando, from Sapang Bato Elementary School shared his experience and delivered his gratitude speech.
“Kami po ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa mga biyayang ipinagkaloob ninyo sa amin. Sa oras pong ito ay umaapaw sa aming mga puso ang galak dahil ipinagkaloob kayo sa amin ng Poong Maykapal/Apu. Mula po sa aming mga batang Ayta,maraming-maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat. Malaki ya halamat!”
It's a day full of fun, as well as presentations from the hotel's staff. Santa Clause was also there that made the kids really happy.
Truly, Christmas is all about giving and sharing your blessings. Seeing the smiles on the faces of these kids is truly magical. Angels’ Dream certainly made this Yuletide Season even brighter, merries, more meaningful and something that always leaves a jolly mark on everyone's heart.
