You may adjust it depending on how many days you plan to visit, budget, and your preferred things to do in Hong Kong and Macau.

HONG KONG ON BUDGET TRAVEL GUIDE DIY ITINERARY

SAMPLE 3 DAYS AND 2 NIGHTS HONG KONG DIY ITINERARY


This sample itinerary is designed for a 3 days/2 nights Hong Kong adventure. It covers the all-time favorite tourist spots and attractions such as Victoria Peak, Hong Kong Disneyland, Ngong Ping, and Mongkok for the shop-a-holics. This assumes that you will be staying in a guest house or a hotel at Tsim Sha Tsui area.

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL + VICTORIA PEAK AND MONGKOK

  • 06:00 AM - Depart from Manila
  • 08:00 AM - Arrive at Hong Kong International Airport
  • 09:00 AM - Take Airport Express Train to Kowloon
  • 09:30 AM - Take the free shuttle van to Tsim Sha Tsui
  • 10:00 AM - Check-in (if early check-in is allowed) or your leave bags at the hotel/hostel or guesthouse in Tsim Sha Tsui
  • 10:30 AM - Take the MTR to Central Station
  • 11:30 AM - Arrive in Central. Walk to The Peak Tram Lower Terminus
    • Pass by St. John's Cathedral
    • Rest at the park nearby
  • 12:30 PM - Take the tram to Victoria Peak
  • 01:00 PM - Arrive at Victoria Peak
  • 01:00 PM - 04:00 PM - Have lunch, enjoy the sights, go up to The Sky Terrace, visit the Chocolate Museum, and shopping.
  • 04:30 PM - Go down Victoria Peak via the Peak Tram
  • 05:00 PM - Walk towards MTR Central Station
  • 06:00 PM - Arrive at Central Station and take MTR to Mongkok Station (via Tsuen Wan)
  • 06:45 PM - 09:00 PM - Enjoy shopping in Mongkok, have dinner
  • 09:00 PM - Take MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui

DAY 2 - HONG KONG DISNEYLAND

  • 09:00 AM - Take the MTR to Hong Kong Disneyland. Don't forget to bring your Octopus Card. For convenience, you may also get a private car transfer to Hong Kong Disneyland. Getting a private transfer is recommended especially if you're traveling with kids and senior citizens.
  • 10:00 AM - Arrive at Hong Kong Disneyland. Lines at the ticket booth could also be crazy long. Be sure to book your tickets in advance.
  • 10:30 AM - 08:30 PM - Enjoy Hong Kong Disneyland
  • 09:00 PM - Depart for Tsim Sha Tsui, take MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui Station

  • 07:00 AM - 08:00 AM - Ferry ride from Hong Kong to Macau (Don't forget to bring your passport!)
  • 08:00 AM - Arrival in Macau
  • 08:30 AM - Travel to Macau City Center
  • 09:00 - Start Macau Day Tour
    • Ruins of St. Paul's
    • Mount Fortress
    • Senado Square
    • Na Tcha Temple
    • A Ma Temple
    • Macau Tower
  • 01:00 PM - Macau Tower Observatory. You can get DISCOUNTED tickets by booking in advance HERE.
  • ACTIVITIES AT MACAU TOWER

    Aside from that, Macau Tower also has restaurants, theaters and shopping malls.
  • 02:00 PM - Travel to Studio City (ride the free casino shuttle bus)
