5 Tourist Attractions You Have to See When Studying in Brisbane

Whether you enjoy looking at beautiful architecture, or visiting the cinema, the capital city of Brisbane has lots on offer for students thinking of studying in the city. Brisbane is located in the south-east corner of Queensland and is centered around the breath-taking Brisbane River.  The beautiful city has many attractions for you to visit whilst studying there.

Anzac Square


Anzac Square is found in the heart of Brisbane. The Shine of Resemblance, a war memorial dedicated to the men and women who served abroad for Australia, can be found here. The shrine resembles a circular Greek temple, and it has reflection pools where people go to remember the men and women who fought. In addition to this, there are statues dedicated to the soldiers of the second Boar War and WWII. Adjacent to Anzac Square is Anzac Square Arcade where lots of students go to spend their spare change.

Gold Coast Theme Park – Warner Bros Movie World


If you like rollercoasters, then this one if definitely for you. Movie World is a popular place to visit and is a favourite with students of The Performing Arts Conservatory in Brisbane. Movie World is themed around all your favourite characters and superheroes. Rides include the Batwing Spaceshot, the Lethal Weapon ride, and the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster. You can even enjoy the steepest inverted drop in the Southern Hemisphere on the Green Lantern Coaster. You will not be disappointed!

Wet 'n' Wild Water World


Another one of our favourite attractions, this one is for water lovers. It has enough slides, pools and attractions to please people of all ages. Who wouldn’t want to sail through Mammoth Falls in a tube?

Sea World


Sea World is located only a few minutes’ walk from Brisbane’s beautiful beaches. Featuring astounding aquatic animals as well as rides for people of all ages, it is definitely not to be missed. There are shows on throughout the day to keep you entertained. Or if that’s not for you, how about visiting Shark Bay?  Now, that’s not for the feint hearted!
