"Good location. Clean room. I love the toilet with hot shower. Super friendly staff. Budget friendly. Spacious room. Quiet place. Very near the market and white beach. Early in and late check out is ok." - Notzilog
"The rooms are spacious and very clean. There wasn't air conditioning but an oscillating fan. Communal showers and toilet that are always kept very clean. The location is a little hard to find at first, and the check in was via Green Monkey just down the pathway.

2. Frendz Hostel Boracay

Address: Balabag, Malay, Aklan, Station 2, Boracay Island, Philippines, 5608
Average Guest Rating: 8.9 out of 10 (Excellent)

Guests' Comments on Tripadvisor:
"Felt like a second home with quick access to both main and back (Bulabog) beaches as well as the convenience of DMall.

Stayed in an airconditioned dorm that is kept clean. Your space includes a comfortable bed with a lamp and outlets (inclu USB ports). You can also use a locker that can fit a 50L backpack.

Restaurant is a common area where it's nice to just hang out (or even work!) in the morning. It seems like a social hostel pre-COVID but nights when I stayed there tend to be relatively quiet (although there's a pool table which guests can enjoy).

Staff are there to willingly help always while giving you privacy or space." -Teng

You can go and join in the partying then escape to a quiet room when you’re done. Security is fab as well, only guests can get in at night and the guard even woke me up to make sure I didn’t miss my airport transfer! Fabulous service! Thanks for a lovely stay." -Melissa

"Stayed here for 5 days while in Boracay and we had the best time!! Room was spacious with private bathroom, pool was amazing and cool with a net for volleyball! Beers were cheap and cold. Plenty of places to sit and chill or chat to folk. Got a pool table upstairs. Darcy is an absolute legend!!! Super close to beach or about 6-7min walk to White Sand beach. Stay here when in Boracay - you won't regret it :-)" - Snowpet
"This place is clean, fun and the location is great. It's near the beach, bars and the friendly staff and owners will help you with all the tours in the area.

Darcy and his wife who own the place are extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me re-book missed flights to a closer airport and accommodated me when I needed to stay longer. We went for dinner together and there was nothing too big or small they wouldn't help you with.

The rooms are clean with good aircon, comfortable beds and electric showers and the were cleaned everyday. It's easily the best place I stayed in terms of facilities in the Philippines and cheaper than the others too

I don't often write reviews but this place was great and I'll definitely be back as I can't speak highly enough of it and they went above and beyond to help me out. I will definitely go back." -Coleiano

7. Boracay Box and Ladder Hostel

Address: 3F Boracay Midway Bldg., Station 2, Malay, Aklan, Boracay Island, Philippines, 5608
Average Guest Rating: 8.0 out of 10 (Excellent)

Guests' Comments on Tripadvisor:
"This was a great hostel to start our trip. It was an easy place to find and the people at Boracay boat station knew of it. It's located off of the beach on the main road, which may not be to every body's tastes but it's is only two minutes away and within 5 minutes from D'mall shopping area. The beds go in to the wall, which again sound odd but offer much more privacy and there is a handy shelf on the top bunks and a draw under the bottom bunks. The bathrooms were basic but clean and the doors have hooks so you can hang your towel.
The open roof area was great but a bit quiet but only because it was the low season at our time of stay. On the roof there is a good kitchen area with kettle and fridge so you can cook for yourself. They do include a basic breakfast but unlimited coffee and tea and purified water (a god send in SE Asia!!)" -Andy P.
"If you're looking for a budget-friendly accomodation without having to compromise the luxury of your stay at Boracay, then Box and Ladders is the perfect location for you! People are so accomodating and friendly, specially the owner and the hostel staff. Though it's a mixed/dorm type room, you'd still have that sense of privacy. I'd say that Box and Ladders is literally "Your home away from home". Apart from their affordable rooms, the hostel has a common kitchen where you can cook And prepare your food. I'd definitely be back in here. Special shout out to the owner's (tatoo artist) nephew who got us our tattoo. Spoiler alert, I'm psyched about their expansion in Siquijor. Thumbs up!!!" -Shaniya M

8. Hostel Avenue Boracay

Address: White Beach Path, Station 2, Barangay Balabag, Boracay Island, Philippines, 5608
Average Guest Rating: 8.3 out of 10 (Excellent)

Guests' Comments on Tripadvisor:
"If you are looking for a very affordable accommodation fronting the picturesque white beach then this is the place to be. The rooms and comfort rooms are always ensured clean. as for the staff, they are very friendly and always smiling. Moreover, the owner.manager of the hostel offers free drinks for guests at least 3 times a week which is a great plus when you are in an island were drinks are expensive. He also gives out free tickets to epic bar which is also awesome.

If you are the kind of traveler or tourist who wants utmost privacy then this is not the place for you. staying in a hostel means you get to share a room with 10 or more people. as for privacy part in the rooms, there are curtains in each bed and drawers that can be padlocked.

Overall, Hostel Avenue is probably the best Hostel in Boracay. I love it's location, it's staff, and it's service." -Hazylot A
"Hi! I'm a mom of two, an ex-customer service representative, a teacher and a blogger as well so I dare say I'm always honest about my reviews. I booked this in a hurry because this is a new place in Boracay (started operation just last October 2016). I was there just to spend a "Boracay birthday beach date" with my husband for my birthday and our anniversary. (Mind you, this is not the place for a honeymoon.) Well, the room that we have booked is a dorm room with a 20-bed capacity. This is the first time that I have booked a dorm room but I didn't regret it because it is clean, the airconditioner is cool, it is beside the beach, it has a recreational roof deck for its guests and it suited my budget. The room is mostly occupied by bunk beds that have curtains so no one can peek into your "sleeping activity". There is a little space behind the door for luggages or trolleys. If you go to Boracay bringing with you "your whole wardrobe" and you're a messy type of person- someone who throws toilet papers everywhere and doesn't spray alcohol or colognes inside the bathroom after pooping, dorm rooms are not convenient for you. Get an expensive room instead (PHP1500+)." -Anne B.

"Here at Boracay Backpackers they strive to create an exciting travelers community where like minded backpackers can relax, meet new friends and feel right at home.

As a new building on the boarder of Station 1 and 2 located 1 minute from the famous white beach and only 5 minutes walk to D'Mall, they offer a clean and fresh touch to the backpacking scene.

With a modern layout we offer a range of dorm rooms and spacious private rooms. Kick back and rehydrate around the bar and enjoy the tropical vibes! " -DrMo A
"First place I've been to and felt it was money well spent. Fluffy clean white towels, comfortable clean bed, I got a private room, the bathroom was really nice as well, new hot water systems etc. The staff were amazing special mention to Tin, I got beaten up by the bouncers at galaxy club, broken nose bruised everywhere. She and other staff nursed me for half an hour, brought me ice, cold towels, antiseptic and tended to my wounds. The fact that they just generally threw away protocol to help me was amazing. I was touched by the kindness and compassion they showed even though they originally knocked on my door to tell me it was check out time. I wish I could give 6 stars. Thankyou again." -Jonathon P

Average Guest Rating: 8.2 out of 10 (Excellent)

Guests' Comments on Tripadvisor:
"Stayed for a night on the first day reaching Boracay. Very basic stay but room is clean and everything seems to be OK. Location is good. At the center of Boracay and easily accessible to D'mall, white beach and bulabog beach.

Breakfast is very simple with just an egg and bread with some spreads. Self service where you need to wash your plates and cups after meal." -Yogananthini
"We stayed in their Private Room, room was okay but would have been fine if aircondition is working properly. Aircon unit were old already so it doesn't cool quickly. They should also improve their cleanliness, we checked in the room and saw used cotton pad near the window.

Our accommodation comes with breakfast already. As a hostel, it is clean as you go and you have to serve yourself. Only few selection but still, we enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were very accommodating, we would like to recommend also Sir Marlon. He assisted us in booking for all our activities." -nikkiparado
