HOTEL REVIEW: The Contemporary Hotel in Quezon City

Rarely are we able to find an escape from our daily grind, that is why I am so delighted when The Contemporary Hotel invited me to check out their hotel in Quezon City. The Contemporary Hotel is a newly-renovated, modern, standard hotel conveniently located near the universities and commercial establishments in the heart of Quezon City. It offers travelers, transients and tourists an experience of safe, clean and affordable hotel accommodation in Quezon City.

Upon arrival at The Contemporary Hotel (Check rates online), we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff and assisted us with our booking. She asked for our identification card for verification and then we filled out the registration form.

It took a while before we were checked-in. While waiting, they served us cold drinking water and coffee while we enjoy the nice lobby restaurant of the hotel.

Our room is located at the 2nd floor. They have an efficient lift, but we decided to just take the stairs just behind the front desk. The hotel has wide and nicely lit hallways leading to the guest rooms. I like it as it gives every guest a homey vibe.

The rooms are equipped with an electronic card key system which is very important when its comes to the guests' safety and security. I like it!

Suite Room

Our room is a well-appointed, newly renovated Suite Room measuring about 35 square meters and equipped with all the amenities and room facilities needed for a comfortable stay.

As we entered our room, I was impressed at how spacious it is and how everything inside are well organized. I like the minimalist theme, the color combination, and the little accent and details on the wall. The indirect lighting inside the room gives a very calming feel which is needed for a good night's sleep.

It has one queen-sized bed that has the right firmness and very comfortable. It is coupled with nice pillows, clean white sheets and blanket that perfectly match it. It has side tables on both sides with a telephone and lamp shades.

Room Amenities

Other room amenities include an en suite toilet and bath, an individually-controlled and silent air-conditioning unit, television set with cable channels, a cabinet, full-length mirror, working desk, a breakfast nook, and a kitchenette with a personal refrigerator, stove, dining utensils and cooking equipment.

Complimentary coffee, tea, sodas and beers were also provided.

Toilet and Bath

As I checked on the toilet and bath, I was also impressed. It is spacious and clean. It has hot and cold shower, a sink and a water closet with bidet. Clean towels, slippers and toiletries such as bath soap, shampoo and dental kits were also provided.

With all these much-needed amenities, sleek and minimalist touch of interiors, it will surely give you all that you need to find comfort in a hotel room.

Other Rooms

The Contemporary Hotel has a total of 88 rooms, each offering clean and comfortable accommodations to the delight of its valued guests. They are categorized into Standard, Deluxe, Premium Deluxe, Suite and Studio Rooms.

Assisted by one of their staff, we were able to see the other rooms. They are all newly-refurbished, spacious and well-kept. Each room offers facilities and amenities that cater to the varying needs of its guests. Here's a sneak peek of their other rooms.

Food and Beverage Service

The Contemporary Hotel also have an in-house restaurant located at the lobby which serves an array of Filipino and international dishes. We got to try it for dinner on our first day at the hotel. We had Molo Soup, Cream of Mushroom SOup, Chicken Cordon Blue, Nasi Goreng and Caesar Salad. The food is okay, but not exceptional.

Drinks and snacks are not a problem in case you get hungry any time of the day. There's a 24-hour convenience store just outside the hotel, SM Centerpoint Sta. Mesa and several restaurants are just a few strides away.

Complimentary Breakfast

Every booking comes with a complimentary buffet breakfast served at the dining area near the lobby during weekends. The selection is just fine and enough to give us some energy boost in the morning.

Swimming Pool

One of the nicest features of The Contemporary Hotel is their lovely outdoor swimming pool. This is the perfect place to chill and have a good swim while enjoying your stay.

Scattered around the pool are lounges, chairs and tables catering to the guests' needs for a relaxing and comfortable stay. It is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily.

Function Hall at the Mezzanine Floor

The Contemporary Hotel also has a small function hall located at the mezzanine floor. It is ideal for private, corporate and other social events such as small wedding receptions, birthdays, baptismal, meetings and seminars.

Internet Access

Free WIFI internet connection is available anywhere in the hotel. Connection is fast and reliable at the lobby and at the swimming pool area; but it gets a bit weak when inside the room. Nonetheless, it's good enough to browse the internet and post photos on your social media accounts.
