We travel to relax, unwind and to escape form our customary day-to-day activities. I, myself, love those times when I just go somewhere to have a relaxing getaway and do nothing but to enjoy the place. One of those activities that I love doing most is staying in a hotel or a resort that leaves a lasting memory and a memorable experience. That's why when Azumi Boutique Hotel in Alabang invited me for an overnight stay at their property, I instantly said yes and readied myself for a much-needed "staycation" within the metropolis.

Azumi Boutique Hotel (Check discounted rates online) is one of the newest hotels in Alabang. It's a 187-room hotel situated at the heart of south Metro Manila along Market Avenue at the business district of Alabang. It is a short drive to/from Ninoy Aquino International Airport and its location within Madrigal Business Park makes it an ideal accommodation for business and leisure travelers.

Finding Azumi Boutique Hotel (Check discounted rates online) is not a problem. It is just meters away from Alabang Town Center and just a stone's throw away from Molito Mall.

Upon entering the hotel, I was instantly amazed with its cozy furnishings, elegant sofas, stylish decors, travel mementos and photos on display at the lobby. It makes full use of nice lights which certainly makes a picturesque and warm welcome for the guests. I was speechless when I saw how beautiful and stylish the hotel is.

We were hospitably welcomed by the hotel staff, greeted us with a warm smile and assisted us with checking-in. It was fast and efficient. After registering and confirming our reservation, we were given the key cards and were assisted to our room located at the 5th floor. Guests need to swipe their key card at the elevator because it could only access the floor where your room is. This is a good security measure as it is one of the important concerns of hotel guests.

I was totally at awe when we entered the room. It's a "Garden Room" (Check discounted rates online), where guests can enjoy a landscaped garden view from its own private veranda. WOW! It is characterized by the use of earth tones with a distinct pop of orange, wood laminate floors and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors at one end that creates a feeling of open space. The lovely veranda gives a very calming and relaxing feel which also allows one to appreciate the cityscape.

The room (Check discounted rates online) is spacious and features modern and classy interiors with top-notch facilities and amenities. It offers a blend of simplicity and contemporary luxury designed for business and leisure travelers.

Upon entering, I could certainly smell the room's freshness and cleanliness. It has a small living area with a day bed, a kitchenette with refrigerator, in-room mini bar, microwave oven, coffee-making equipments and a sink. I was quite impressed by the much needed facilities equipped inside the room.

The centerpiece of the room is the queen-sized bed that is so soft and fluffy; it also has huge fluffy pillows, clean and fresh sheets and comforters that compliment it. I quickly tried it and I felt like I was melting into the bed. Very relaxing!

In addition, the room features a variety of comforts such as an LCD TV with cable channels, air-conditioning unit, cabinet, a work desk, telephone, and a safety deposit box. Super fast FREE WIFI internet access is also available. Each room is given its own username and password to access the internet. It is indeed fast and can be accessed anywhere in the hotel! I love it!

Then I checked on the toilet and bath. I was speechless when I saw how clean and beautiful it is. Whoa! It has a very stylish walk-in shower with hot and cold shower.

It also comes with complete toiletries and bathroom amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, soap and dental care kits. The body and hand towels are soft, fluffy and smell fresh!

I couldn't ask for more, it's very impressive! For me, it is very important to have a bathroom that is clean and well organized. Azumi Boutique Hotel did not disappoint me, from the sink to the water closet, to the shower enclosure, they are all clean and smells fresh.

The design and feel of our room is elegant and well-organized. I like it so much as there's not too much clutter and only the essentials are inside the room. The vivid color combination and the indirect lighting inside the room are very impressive! It will surely give every guest an engaging feel and a comfortable and relaxing sleep.

INFINITY LAP POOL

An added treat to hotel guests is the lovely swimming pool at the hotel's roof deck. It has lounge beds scattered around and outdoor dining tables where you could eat or have a drink while enjoying the pool.

The 360 degree view of the Alabang Skyline that it provides, makes it so lovely. One of the highlights of our stay was our awesome night swim at the pool while enjoying the stunning view of Alabang's towering skyscrapers.

I felt like I was instantly transported in a resort outside the busy metropolis. It was pure bliss to just enjoy the moment and the magical Alabang skyline at night.

FUNCTION ROOM

Also located at the roof deck is the function room and the villa which are perfect venues for social and corporate events such as wedding receptions, birthdays, meetings and conventions.

NAIL SPA

Azumi Boutique Hotel also has a Nail Spa located at the lobby. It is a chic salon for that much needed pampering and relaxation.

ROMULO CAFE

Romulu Cafe, the hotel's restaurant promises Filipino gustatory experience with a side of Philippine history. The complimentary buffet breakfast that comes with your booking is also served at Romulo Cafe from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Don't miss the beef tapa at the buffet spread, it is really good!
