Leyte - Bar-ko Resto and Grill at Leyte Park Resort Hotel, Tacloban City

Just before the ritual showdown of the Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival 2013 started, we went to Leyte Park to check on Bar-ko Resto and Grill. We were invited by the owner to try the dishes in their restaurant located near the prime entertainment establishments in the city. A typhoon just passed by the city and it was only 11:00 in the morning when we arrived, there were only a few people you'll see around.

Upon arrival at the resto, I felt like I am entering a ship. True to its name, the restaurant seems to be a barko or a ship. Hahaha!

While waiting for our food, lemonade and ice tea were served. Very refreshing drinks!

Lemonade and Ice tea

Here are the delectable Filipino dishes that was served to us.

Crispy Pata

Bulalo

Buttered Shrimps

Sinigang na Isda

The crispy pata and the buttered shrimps are my favorites! Words alone cannot describe the food trip we had in tasting their wide array of dishes, you got to try it for yourself. So, if you're in Tacloban City, dine at Bar-ko Resto and Grill and enjoy their delectable food treats.

Leyte Park is the liveliest place in Tacloban City at night, I wonder what would the experience be if we went here at night when all the partying and merriment are happening? That I have to try next time.

Thank you to Bar-ko Resto and Grill for hosting our lunch during the Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival day.
