Food Festival More Fun in the Philippines with Electrolux Discover-E


One sure way to discover the beauty of the Philippines is to try its cusines. Celebrate the country's finest dishes ranging from your favorite Filipino treats from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, as Electrolux brings you the Discover-E Food Festival which aims to promote creative and mouth-watering Neo-Filipino dishes! Carrying out the Department of Tourism slogan, it is indeed More Fun in the Philippines with these delightful native delicacies. Get ready to go around the country with the help of the Electrolux food passport, your ticket to the Discover-E Food Festival that will bring you around the Philippines in this one stop food event everyone is bound to enjoy.

Discover the country’s hidden treasures and your own niche in cooking! Join in the fun-filled activities that will not only let you appreciate delicious native cuisine, you’ll also get a chance to create your own unique dish with the help Electrolux kitchen appliances.

Come in as chef-in-the-making or a Filipino food connoisseur, as an open functional Electrolux kitchen will also be present during the event to give everyone a hands-on kitchen experience. "Consumers will be asked to try out our kitchen display in the Electrolux Mobile Home and cook something with the assistance of our stay-in chef," explains Andrea Pionilla, Group Product Manager, Electrolux Philippines.

"Consumers will surely love all the activities in store for them," Pionilla adds. Students from top culinary schools will be able to showcase their culinary talents as they compete to in the Student Cook-off.

From adults to teen, everyone has their own time to shine, even the little chikitings aging from 6-10 years old will learn a new tummy-friendly skill as Chef Bruce Lim and Chef Rosebud Benitez teach them how to create easy-to-prepare Filipino dishes that they can do with their mom and dad at home.

Of course, a festival is not complete without live entertainment. Prepare to sing and dance with Baihana on June 15 and Up Dharma Down on June 16 as they complement the festive mood of the foodies. Electrolux has also prepared raffles and games on both dates, Electrolux appliances will even be given away!

"We are inviting everyone to celebrate a fun-filled and food-filled weekend with us," adds Pionilla. "This food festival features new Filipino discoveries and old Pinoy favorites that will let you rediscover the wonders of the Filipino culinary heritage."

Proceeds from ticket sales will be used for the benefit of ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya.

The Discover-E food festival will take place on the weekend of June 15 – 16 at the NBC Tent, Bonifacio Global City.

How to get to NBC Tent
At EDSA-Ayala MRT station, look for the terminal of "The Fort buses" located near the gate of Forbes across Shell Station. These air-conditioned buses go around Fort Bonifacio.
