The Bacolod-Silay International Airport is located in Barangay Bagtic in Silay City, some 15 kilometers northeast of Bacolod City. Due to its location, getting in and out of the airport is quite a challege especially for first-timers. Here are some of the ways on how to get in and out of the airport terminal.

Via Public Shuttle Vans
There are vans that transfers passengers from the airport to Bacolod City and vice versa. Fare is 150 pesos, one way. You can find the vans at the terminal's arrival area if you're going to Bacolod City. If coming from Bacolod City to the airport, the terminal is located in SM City - Bacolod. Take note of the trip schedules, see the photo below.

as of October 2012

Via Taxi
There are several taxis at the airport's arrival area. A trip to Bacolod City would normally cost you around 500 pesos (contract rate). This is a good and cheaper option if you are a group of 4 and if your are carrying some cargos. Same goes if you're coming from Bacolod City to the airport. Travel time is about 30 minutes.

Via Tricycle and Jeepney
Proceed to the airport's gate where you can find a tricycle terminal. Take the tricycle to Silay highway, fare is 15 pesos if with other passengers or 60 pesos if solo. From the highway, take a Bacolod-bound jeepney (13 pesos) to "North-bound Terminal". From there, take another jeepney (Bata or Mandalagan-bound) to downtown Bacolod City, fare is 7 pesos.

If coming from Bacolod City, take a jeepney to North-bound Terminal (7 pesos). From there, take a Silay-bound jeepney, fare is 13 pesos. In Silay, you can choose to take the van to the airport located near El Ideal Bakery (50 pesos), please note that the van will not leave until it has 6 passengers. Alternatively, you can take a tricycle at Silay public market, fare is 15 pesos if with other passengers or 60 pesos if solo.
