Pinoy Food : Don't Forget to Bring Home Some Deliciously Creamy “Pasalubong” when you Visit Masbate

Masbate's best OTOP (One Town, One Product) specialty could be the "Carmelado", the province's version of the Pastillas de Leche. This native delicacy is made of pure carabao’s milk and a little of white sugar. Cut into thin rectangular shapes and wrapped in white paper, it can be found in the ports of Masbate and flea markets.

An OTOP Cariton can also also be found at the airport, so it won't be a problem to bring home some of these luscious treats. It sells at 100 pesos per bag which contains 5 packs with 10 pieces of yummy Carmelado.

Don't forget to bring home some of these deliciously creamy “pasalubong” when you visit the province of Masbate. Let's support local products!

This is part of my Solo Weekend getaway in the province of Masbate that happened last August 13-14, 2011. Masbate is the 34th province on my list and this weekend adventure is my 8th solo trip.
