RESTAURANTS AT SM CITY BF PARAÑAQUE: Vikings Luxury Buffet Restaurant SM City BF Parañaque

Known as one of the largest buffet restaurants in the Philippines, Vikings Luxury Buffet Restaurant recently opened its 7th branch. Located at the 2nd level of SM City BF Parañaque along Dr. A. Santos Avenue (Sucat Road) corner President's Avenue in BF Homes, Parañaque City, it aims to cater to the residents living in south Metro Manila such as as Parañaque, Las Piñas and Muntinlupa; as well as nearby provinces of Laguna and Cavite.

I am so delighted to be invited to try this newest branch of Vikings Luxury Buffet Restaurant. Upon arrival at the restaurant, I was instantly impressed with the restaurant's fresh interiors inspired by nature. I couldn't help but notice the nice and comfy dining area, lovely furniture, the stylish chandeliers and some plants which adds to the "nature-theme" of this Vikings branch.

It is huge and very spacious with a capacity of I think more than 350 people dining at the same time. It also has a small veranda with a few chairs and tables which also serves as a smoking area for smoking guests. There are also functions rooms which can be arranged for private gatherings.

Just like the other Vikings Luxury Buffet Restaurants, it has several food stations with a wide selection of local and international dishes to choose from. It includes Appetizers Section, Filipino Section, Japanese and Korean Section, Chinese Section, Italian Section, Carving and Grilling Section, Desserts Section (my favorite!), and the Beverage Section.

I started my lunch with the appetizers, followed by the pizzas and pastas at the Italian section and then the main dishes from the carving section. I specifically loved the carbonara pizza, spit barbeque of lamb, the slow cooked beef ribs and the boneless lechon. Yummy!

Then I went to the Chinese, Filipino and Asian sections where I savored on Vietnamese pork barbeque, chicken satay, sauteed beef brocolli, steamed crabs, laing con tinapa, chicken inasal adobo and bagnet binagoongan. I felt like I was traveling around Southeast Asia and the Philippines as I had a little bit of what were served at the buffet table.

And then for my favorite part, the desserts! I tried the cakes, pastries and fresh fruits. If you're still craving for more, you may also try the local specialties such as the puto bumbong, bibingka, halo halo and taho. There are also chocolate fondue and jars of candies that the kids and "young at heart" will surely love.

The beverage section is also huge with different drinks to choose from. There's soda, iced tea, coffee, hot tea and fruit juices. I specifically love the fresh tamarind juice. Definitely a must try!

Overall, it was an awesome gastronomic dining experience. I love the restaurant's lovely interioes, the food were truly awesome, freshly cooked and well-replenished. I also like that the selection of dishes are really huge that you'll have a hard time deciding where to start! Hahaha!
