Lanao del Norte - NPC Nature's Park in Iligan City

The NPC Nature's Park is located within the Agus 6 & 7 Hydroelectric Power Plant Complex of the National Power Corporation. This eco-adventure facility was made to boost the tourism potential of Maria Cristina Falls and to enjoy nature at it's grandest. It features a butterfly garden, koi pond, crocodile farm, mini zoo/ostrich area, a bat cave, orchidarium, lagoon, cottages, wishing well, viewing decks along the banks of the Agus River, souvenir shop, a cafeteria and activities such as rock climbing and zip line.

So before seeing the spectacular Maria Christina Falls, we roamed around the park to check things out. I was impressed with the expanse of the park. You need to take the shuttle to go from one place to another. No worries, the shuttle service is just a call away. Just tell the security personnel and they will call the shuttle right away.

Here are some of the different things that you could see around the nature park.

Entrance Fees and Schedule
Adults - 35.00 PHP
Children and Senior Citizens - 20.00 PHP
Shuttle Ride - 10.00 PHP

Visitors will be asked to fill-up a form and to present an identification card upon registration. It is opened from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM everyday except for the zipline which is closed during Tuesdays for maintenance.

Telephone Nos.: (063)221-9033 / (063)221-3988

From the city proper, take a jeepney bound for Buru-un. Tell the driver to drop you at the crossing going to Maria Cristina Falls. Fare is about 12.00 pesos and travel time is around 15-20 minutes.

This is a part of my trip to the cities of Marawi, Iligan and Ozamiz last September 16-18, 2011. Iligan City in Lanao del Norte is the 38th province on my list and a part my 10th solo trip. Discover the places I've been to, the friendships I've made, the food I tasted and the experiences I gained as I explore the city of majestic waterfalls!

We should have seen this post of yours. We went to Iligan City in the final day of our CDO-Camiguin-Bukidnon trip. We arrived around 4.30PM only to find out it's close na. Our contact person there thought they're open until 5pm :(
