1. The Orient Beach Boracay Resort

Address: Sitio Hagdan, Yapak, Boracay Island, Baling-Hai Beach, Boracay Island, Philippines
Average Guest Rating: 7.3 out of 10 (Very Good)

Guests Comments:
"The hotel is undergoing renovation during our stay. Due to the new normal, they temporarily closed their pool but it was okay for me and my friend. The hotel is a bit far from the White Beach. You can ride an e-trike for 20 pesos if you are going to Station 1 and 30 pesos if you’re going to Station 2. Or you can ask the manager Sir Ajei because they have a free shuttle. Usually we take their free shuttle when we are going to the stations in the morning and call Sir Ajei in the afternoon to pick us up. He is very nice and we are very happy because he gave us a five star treatment during our whole stay. They have limited staff due to there were only few visitors but it was okay because all of our requests were highly accommodated. They clean our rooms everytime we leave in the morning to go out. There is a rooftop lounge to chill in during the sunset or the night. The resort was only a 10 min walk to Puka Beach which we enjoyed because my friend and I like to take short/long walks. The free breakfast was all good even if there were only two options to choose from. They only serve it for room service or you can eat in the area they have prepared in the lobby because it is a bit hot in the rooftop lounge during morning. The room was complete with hair blower, refrigerator, flat iron, television, vault and the shower heater works perfectly well. Although the wifi was not that strong in our room, it was okay because the signal reception was strong enough. There’s free bottled water and coffee served as requested. Our room’s terrace has a partial view of the sea. If you are traveling in a budget but still want great service, this resort is best for you. Overall, we have a pleasant stay. Kodus to to Sir Ajei and his staff for the utmost hospitality." -Joselle

"Here at Boracay Backpackers they strive to create an exciting travelers community where like minded backpackers can relax, meet new friends and feel right at home.

As a new building on the boarder of Station 1 and 2 located 1 minute from the famous white beach and only 5 minutes walk to D'Mall, they offer a clean and fresh touch to the backpacking scene.

With a modern layout we offer a range of dorm rooms and spacious private rooms. Kick back and rehydrate around the bar and enjoy the tropical vibes! " -DrMo A
"First place I've been to and felt it was money well spent. Fluffy clean white towels, comfortable clean bed, I got a private room, the bathroom was really nice as well, new hot water systems etc. The staff were amazing special mention to Tin, I got beaten up by the bouncers at galaxy club, broken nose bruised everywhere. She and other staff nursed me for half an hour, brought me ice, cold towels, antiseptic and tended to my wounds. The fact that they just generally threw away protocol to help me was amazing. I was touched by the kindness and compassion they showed even though they originally knocked on my door to tell me it was check out time. I wish I could give 6 stars. Thankyou again." -Jonathon P

"Loved this place! I stayed in the mad monkey but had to move as it was fully booked - this place is just next door and I wish I’d just gone here to start with! You can go and join in the partying then escape to a quiet room when you’re done. Security is fab as well, only guests can get in at night and the guard even woke me up to make sure I didn’t miss my airport transfer! Fabulous service! Thanks for a lovely stay." -Melissa

Average Guest Rating: 8.5 out of 10 (Excellent)

Guests Comments:
"I stayed here for a week and a half - no complaints whatsoever! COVID-19 protocols were observed. I stayed in a 6-bed shared dorm room with en suite (but separate) toilet and heated shower. Aircon works amazing, there are a couple of windows that can be opened for fresh air. Sheets and towels are clean and fresh. There are lockers on your headboard to keep your valuables safe and a drawer for your bag/clothes. There's also a TV with cable, which was great for listening to the news while working. You can also order Filipino breakfast meals for 120 pesos each, which they can bring to your room. If you have your own coffee, you can ask for a cup of hot water instead. For long stays, there's an affiliated affordable laundry service right before the hostel building (separate light colors though), and if you ask, you can borrow a water jug from the front desk and have it filled by an affiliated refilling station for a fee. Getting around is fairly easy as the hostel lies along the main road." -Maki

5. The Lazy Dog Bed & Breakfast

Address: #1 Sesame Street, Zone V Brgy. Balabag, Bulabog Beach, Boracay Island, Philippines
Average Guest Rating: 8.1 out of 10 (Excellent)

Guest Comments:
"The Lazy Dog Bed and Breakfast changed my outlook in choosing the best place to stay. I usually opt for beachfront but with Lazy Dog, it made me realize that a place can give you more without the need of beachfront. First the place is clean, sanitized, and organized. Second, the staffs are so kind and accommodating. I asked if my lazada hauls can be delivered in the hotel and they are accommodating to that request. Third, the food is DIVINE! Their chef is amazing. I love their waffles, their hotcakes, their curry, I must say all the food here and even the desserts are ALL GOOD. It also gives Island vibes., very tranquil especially if the other are not noisy or respects the solemnity of the place. Definitely its the place I would go back to. No doubt. You dont need a 5* hotel to stay at in Boracay. You just need Lazy Dog." -Gracee

6. Oasis Resort and Spa

Address: Ilig-iligan, Barangay Yapak, Boracay Island, Philippines
Average Guest Rating: 8.5 out of 10 (Excellent)

Guests Comments:
"We stayed here for 5 nights and paid less than 1,000 per night including Agoda taxes. They offered free breakfast and 5 vouchers of 1 hour massage. The breakfast has variety of choices and it has big servings which you will really feel full. At the end of the day, you can avail their free massage which is a great treat. The room is very spacious and the bed is very comfortable. There is also a mini fridge where you can keep your drinks. The staffs are very friendly and accomodating. Twice we bought barbeques outside and ate it in their restaurant. They lend us utensils to use and even gave us cold water to drink. They also offered "paluto" which means you can buy seafood or meat outside and they will cook it for you for only 150.00 cooking fee. We craved and bought fresh fish outside and they cooked it for us. The place is in the northern side of Boracay. It is a 20 minutes ride to Boracay center. The resort has a free shuttle that drops and pick up the guests from the town center. Anytime we decided to go to the town center that was not in the free shuttle schedule, we just took the e-trike with 20.00 pesos fare each. Not bad at all! We just availed the free shuttle going back to the resort as normally the e-trike will charge you more especially if they know you are a tourist and they will reason out that the resort is far. We also loved that Ilig-iligan beach is just 4 minutes walk from the resort. The beach is not crowded compared to long beach and Puka beach. There, you can enjoy swimming, kayaking and snorkeling. If you prefer to be away from the crowd, Ilig-iligan beach is the best option and staying in Oasis Resort and Spa is the best decision you could make. It was my first time in Boracay and staying in Oasis Resort and Spa broke my mindset that when you go to Boracay, you need to shell out most of your savings. Indeed, this resort let us enjoyed and immersed in this island comfortably without draining our savings. Best experienced ever!!! " -Mitzi

7. Urban Boutique Hotel

Address: Lot 472 Bolabog Road, Station 1, Boracay Island, Philippines
Average Guest Rating: 8.5 out of 10 (Excellent)

Guests Comments:
"My boyfriend and I decided to stay here on our last day in Bora as they had a "pay at the hotel" option in Agoda which was super convenient for people without credit card or those whose credit cards has been maxed out already, LOL. It was a very good choice because of it's location as it's close to the 2 beaches. The beds are super comfy, air conditioners, hot and cold shower are working nicely, spacious (even have an extra bed) and the breakfast is very good. It's unlike your ordinary cheap hotel breakfast with rice, some meat and eggs considering the amount we paid for one night, it was worth it! We had to check out at 7AM and they were very nice to offer to prepare and pack our sandwiches a little earlier so we won't miss our flight. It was a quick but very nice stay. I would highly recommend Urban Boutique Hotel. For it's price, you'll get more than what you pay for." -Kathleen

8. Bamboo Beach Resort

Average Guest Rating: 7.9 out of 10 (Very Good)

Guests Comments:
"We stayed at Bamboo Beach Resort for 6 days and 5 nights. Our stay was relaxing, fun and very convenient. Location- Though it will take us a 10-min walk from the highway going to the resort, it is very accessible to the most important thing in our vacation which is the BEACH. The resort is located in the front beach so you can definitely take a dip anytime you want. Value For Money - I booked a triple room and got a lower price though I only made the bookings 4 days before our arrival. It was actually a very good deal. Room/Cleanliness- Our room was nice and clean. Appliances such as tv, ref, heater, etc. were working well. What I really like about the room is the veranda/terrace where we can hang our wet clothes to dry. They also make-up rooms as requested. Facilities - The resort has its own restaurant with a very affordable lunch/dinner buffet. They also offer activities such as island hopping that comes with a lunch buffet. The resort has its own boat to cater their guests/clients during island hopping. Beach towel are also available for guests everytime you go for a swim. Staff- I would like to commend all the staff for being so nice and accomodating. From the front desk, housekeeping, resto staff and even those in charge with the outdoor activities. If you want a fun, relaxing and hassle-free vacation in Boracay, I highly recommend Bamboo Beach Resort." -Miladee

"Stayed here for 5 days while in Boracay and we had the best time!! Room was spacious with private bathroom, pool was amazing and cool with a net for volleyball! Beers were cheap and cold. Plenty of places to sit and chill or chat to folk. Got a pool table upstairs. Darcy is an absolute legend!!! Super close to beach or about 6-7min walk to White Sand beach. Stay here when in Boracay - you won't regret it :-)" - Snowpet
"This place is clean, fun and the location is great. It's near the beach, bars and the friendly staff and owners will help you with all the tours in the area.

Darcy and his wife who own the place are extremely friendly and helpful. They helped me re-book missed flights to a closer airport and accommodated me when I needed to stay longer. We went for dinner together and there was nothing too big or small they wouldn't help you with.

The rooms are clean with good aircon, comfortable beds and electric showers and the were cleaned everyday. It's easily the best place I stayed in terms of facilities in the Philippines and cheaper than the others too

I don't often write reviews but this place was great and I'll definitely be back as I can't speak highly enough of it and they went above and beyond to help me out. I will definitely go back." -Coleiano

Average Guest Rating: 8.9 out of 10 (Excellent)

Guests Comments:
"Felt like a second home with quick access to both main and back (Bulabog) beaches as well as the convenience of DMall.

Stayed in an airconditioned dorm that is kept clean. Your space includes a comfortable bed with a lamp and outlets (inclu USB ports). You can also use a locker that can fit a 50L backpack.

Restaurant is a common area where it's nice to just hang out (or even work!) in the morning. It seems like a social hostel pre-COVID but nights when I stayed there tend to be relatively quiet (although there's a pool table which guests can enjoy).

Staff are there to willingly help always while giving you privacy or space." -Teng

Guests Comments:
"Stayed for a night on the first day reaching Boracay. Very basic stay but room is clean and everything seems to be OK. Location is good. At the center of Boracay and easily accessible to D'mall, white beach and bulabog beach.

Breakfast is very simple with just an egg and bread with some spreads. Self service where you need to wash your plates and cups after meal." -Yogananthini
"We stayed in their Private Room, room was okay but would have been fine if aircondition is working properly. Aircon unit were old already so it doesn't cool quickly. They should also improve their cleanliness, we checked in the room and saw used cotton pad near the window.

Our accommodation comes with breakfast already. As a hostel, it is clean as you go and you have to serve yourself. Only few selection but still, we enjoyed the breakfast. Staff were very accommodating, we would like to recommend also Sir Marlon. He assisted us in booking for all our activities." -nikkiparado
