DTC Mobile Bares New Product Line-up and Brand Ambassadors in Anticipated Launch

July 6, 2014 marks two significant milestones for DTC Mobile as it officially launched 12 new units to add to its existing catalogue along with the first public unveiling of its five brand ambassadors. The event, held at the Robinson’s Place Manila Midtown Atrium, uncovered the company’s latest Q3 series, a collection of high-quality and economy mobile devices that integrate coveted features in mobile technology and entertainment.

Hosted by UAAP courtside reporter Apple David and James Vasquez, DTC’s grand launch showcased a bevy of fun-filled offerings by DTC including photo and pick-a-prize booths, plus riveting performances from three-time Skechers Streetdance Battle winner UP Indayog Dance Varsity and ABS-CBN Star Magic Glee talent Shane Tarun. Also gracing the event was Energy FM deejay Ian Pereira.

“This latest endeavor by DTC symbolizes our renewed commitment to deliver satisfaction to our consumers in a way that speaks their language while staying true to ours,” said DTC General Manager Ferdinand Buensalida Jr., who was awarded during the event by DTC President and Singapore Product Head Sanjay Bhimsaria for his exemplary work and commitment.

“Today, we gather powerful performers in the courtside and entertainment arenas who represent agility, performance, class and practical lifestyle – qualities that our latest mobile offerings share.”

New Q3 Series Enriches Mobile Experience with Smarter Features


At the forefront is DTC’s Q3 series, which adds a dozen units to their current line-up and includes classic bar handsets, dual and quad core Android phones, phablets, and DTC’s first octa core smartphone.

The series offers a host of exciting mobile essentials for a breezy, power-packed and budget-friendly smartphone experience including:

  • Quad band frequency to ensure compatibility with global quad band frequencies

The Q3 series represents a crucial milestone for the brand as it continues to strive for outstanding low-cost products that improve the lives of consumers and their ability to connect to friends and family regardless of location.

Also on spotlight were DTC’s pioneer brand advocates, all professional basketball athletes sourced from five Philippine teams: Rain or Shine’s Ryan Araña, Air 21’s Simon Atkins, Talk ‘N Text power forward Rommel Niño “KG” Canaleta, and PBA All-Star awardees Gary David from the Meralco Bolts and Willie Miller from Redbull.

The ambassadors were first introduced in a closed-door media event in May. This marks their first presentation to the public masses. Spectators and attendees were treated to an up-close mingling session with the cagers via a post-event meet-and-greet.

DTC’s recently sealed partnership with the athletes signifies the company’s continued efforts to bring the brand closer to mobile users and fortify existing ones.

Buensalida explains, “They embody what DTC is all about: active living, practicality and creativity. We’re thrilled to welcome them to the DTC family and we’re positive that this affiliation will help us relay our message better to consumers.”

All Q3 series units will be available in all major malls, retailers and Mega One outlets beginning today.
