Waterfront Pavilion Hotel Manila Lights up Christmas Tree and gives support to Typhoon Yolanda Survivors

It's only 32 days before Christmas! We could already feel that the Yuletide season is fast approaching. In line with this, Waterfront Pavilion Hotel officially welcomed the Christmas holiday season featuring a few new treats this year. Last Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 5:30 PM, the first-ever Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was held. It also include the "wishing well" specifically dedicated to the victims and survivors of the recent super Typhoon (Yolanda) that hit the Philippines.

"We wish the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Waterfront Pavilion Hotel Manila to become another annual tradition," says Theresa Fernandez, Waterfront Hotels Corporate Sales and Marketing Director. "Apart from that, we aim at making this activity more meaningful by bringing the community together and encourage them to help our people in Eastern Visayas through a donation drive."

Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. (AKFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of TV5 will be the official partner of Waterfront Pavilion Hotel to help our fellow Filipinos who have been extremely affected by one of the most powerful storms ever recorded in history. In keeping with the spirit of Christmas, employees and guests can drop their donations at the "wishing well" placed at the hotel's lobby until January 5, 2014. The donations will be turned over to the AKFI for proper allocation of aid to those who are in dire need of help specially in the far flung areas in the Visayas Region.

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony begun with holiday music performed by the Ramon Magsaysay Chorale whose angelic hymm has been welcoming the yuletide season in WPHC for 10 years now. In addition, warm holiday festive delights and Christmas goodies were served to everyone to keep the feeling of hope and joy alive.
