EAT-tinerary: Digman Halo-halo, Bacoor Cavite's Dessert Delight!

"Digman" is a small barangay in the City of Bacoor in Cavite. It is known for it's famous halo-halo which Caviteños have enjoyed through the years. My brother has been bugging that we go to "Digman", as the summer heat has become unbearable this past few days. So this afternoon, together with my Princess Fiona we drove to Bacoor, Cavite.

There are a couple of Halo-halo restaurants in the area. We chose to dine at BC2 Digman Original Halo-Halo (Talk of the Town) as it claims to be the "original" halo-halo store in Digman, it has been there since 1969.

When we arrived, there were already a lot of people inside, good thing we found a seat and ordered two special halo-halo. Their regular halo-halo costs 45 pesos while the special halo-halo is at 55 pesos.

I must say, it's good. It has a lot of ingredients like a scoop of ice cream and ube on top, while under the crushed ice there's langka, beans, banana, sago, nata and others. It's not so sweet, but you can add sugar depending on your taste, I opted not to.

Posted on their wall are photos of some "artistas" who have tasted their halo-halo, as well as some news clippings featuring their store.

I couldn't say it's the best halo-halo in town, but it's worth a visit. Check it out and taste Digman's famous halo-halo!

Photos were taken using a cellphone camera... :)

HOW TO GET THERE
From PITX in Parañaque, take a Dasmariñas-bound bus or jeepney and alight at Talaba junction in Bacoor. From there, take a jeepney bound for Binakayan and tell the driver to drop you at Digman. From the main road, you just have to walk a few meters to get to the halo-halo stores.

  4. thanks sa advice, been there after reading your email/post. di ko alam na malapit lang pala ako sa Digman, medyo naligaw pa kasi eskinita pala ang papasukin, umabot ako ng Binakayan sa first attempt haha. Anyway, kanya kanya taste lang yan. For me, its not the best Halo halo that i ever tasted (medyo matabang- you need to add sugar, di masyado creamy- need to add milk,)pero madami sahog. sa Talk of the Town naman ako. di ko lang alam ano lasa sa kabilang Digman. I'll visit that next weekend.
