Minalungao National Park

Minalungao National Park! Yahoo! Summer has always been my favorite season. Except for the hot weather, almost everyone likes this exciting part of the year. Thus, the hot summer season led us to explore one of the few remaining natural environment in Central Luzon. It was one of those days that I just want to leave and be somewhere. So I invited my friend to explore one of Nueva Ecija's hidden gems - Minalungao National Park in the town of General Tinio. It is one of those places that only a few have been to. I've been wanting to visit Minalungao since I saw photos of it from friends. Since then, I was enticed that I should see it for myself.

The strong waves coming from the Pacific Ocean make Siargao Island one of the most popular surfing destinations in the Philippines. As a "surfer wannabe", I really wanted to go there to ride its mighty waves. So when I had a chance to go to Surigao del Norte during my birthday trip, I took the chance and braved the 3-hour bumpy and vomit-inducing boat ride from Surigao city to Siargao island.

Marinduque is considered as one of the top destinations in the Philippines during the Lenten season. It is where the Moriones Festival is held every year which starts from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday.
