Manila - Japan VS Finland at the 2013 Philippine International Pyromusical Competition

The skies of SM Mall of Asia were once again filled with bright colors and spectacular fireworks display as the 4th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition officially opened last night. It was Japan and Finland who showcased their exceptional artistry and technical skills as they treated the thousands of spectators to a pyrotechnic spectacle that kept everyone at awe.

It was around 7:45 PM when the show started with Japan's Tamaya Kitahara fireworks company. They showcased awesome colors and formations. The hearts and smileys fireworks, which I saw 2 years ago were once again displayed. Cool! It was just a bit off because their performance has several stops, it wasn't continuous as I expected it to be. But still, Japan's performance was good!

Few minutes before 9:00 PM, it was Finland's Oy Pyroman Finland Ltd turn. Breath-taking, superb, jaw-dropping and awesome! I was very happy with their performance as it was more synchronized with the music. Though it started slow, it was full of surprises and new fireworks techniques which I haven't seen before. Their performance was well applauded by the audience!

Thanks to my friend, Tof of Project Lakwatsa for the VIP tickets and for taking the photos. I truly enjoyed watching the fireworks display as my eyes were just glued at the sky (I wasn't taking photos kasi... Hahahaha!) :)
