Philippines' Famous Tourist Attractions from Up Above

Whenever I fly, I always request for a window seat. I just love seeing how beautiful our country is from up above. Have you ever wonder how the Philippines' famous tourist attractions look like up in the air? Here are some photos of Mayon Volcano, San Juanico Bridge, Taal Volcano and Boracay Island as I captured them from the window of the plane. Enjoy!

1. TAAL VOLCANO, Batangas

Located approximately 65 km south of Metro Manila in the middle of Taal Lake, it is considered as the smallest active volcano in the world. This photo was taken on my way to Mindanao, I was seated on the right side of the plane.

2. SAN JUANICO BRIDGE, Samar-Leyte

It is said that San Juanico Bridge was a "Gift" and a "Testimonial of Love" by former President, Ferdinand Marcos to his wife, Imelda Marcos, a native of Leyte. From above, you can see how it forms the letters "S" and "L", which stands for Samar and Leyte, two provinces it connects. This was taken on my way out of Tacloban City, I was seated on the left side of the plane.

3. MAYON VOLCANO, Albay

The most iconic tourist destination in Bicol Region and considered to be the volcano with the most perfect cone. This is a view of the Mayon Volcano from my window seat being caressed by huge clouds. Taken on my way back to Manila from Legazpi City, I was seated at the right side of the plane.

4.BORACAY ISLAND, Aklan

Probably the most famous beach in the Philippines, Boracay island is located at the northwestern tip of Panay Island. It's beaches were acclaimed as one of the best in the world and a favorite among local and foreign tourists. From above, you can see the long stretch of white sand beach that comprises the so-called "White Beach". This was taken on my way out of Caticlan, I was seated at the right side of the plane.

These are just some of the Philippines' famous tourist attractions as I captured them from the plane's window. Next time you fly, get a window seat and take a photo of the stunning sights in the Philippines!

Hope to capture more on my next flight! 'Til next time! :)
