Bukidnon - Stunned by Manolo Fortich's Pineapple Plantations

The climate in Manolo Fortich is characterized by moderate dry season with average rainfall, very ideal for the cultivation of pineapples. It is for this reason that a huge company such as Del Monte put up their plantation in the province of Bukidnon. Considered as the biggest pineapple plantation in the Far East, it is one of the major attractions in this northern part of the province. Only 40 minutes away from the bustling commercial center of Cagayan de Oro City, one can enjoy a great view of Mt. Kitanglad along with vast tracks of pineapple-laden lands of Del Monte Philippines Incorporated.

I was so amazed with the huge pineapple plantations here. I can't help but tell my habal-habal driver to stop for a while for me to take photos.

The cool weather and the clean fresh air is what I remember most in this short visit to Bukidnon. This makes me want to come back pretty soon!

This is part of my Solo Northern Mindanao Adventure that happened last August 6-8, 2011. Bukidnon is the 33rd province on my list and this Northern Mindanao adventure is my 7th solo trip.

    2. Hello.

Mula CDO Agora Terminal to Camp Philips nasa 50 pesos po ang jeep, one-way if I remember correctly. Then nakuha naming habal-habal from Camp Philips to Dahilayan is 300/pax, round trip na yun, hinintay kami ng driver. Thanks!
