DAY 1 - September 4, 2009We reached Cebu City at around 5:00 PM, since we still don't have a place to stay, we decided to go to Ayala Center to have dinner and call on some Hotels/Inns that we have in mind. Luckily, we got one in downtown Cebu City which is very near Crown Regency Hotel.
We spent our first night by chillin' out at
22nd St. Comedy Bar located at Mango Square, just 5 minutes from the place we're staying. As requested by
Mami Luz, I went up the stage and sang two songs.
DAY 2 - September 5, 2009On our 2nd day, we went to the different tourist spots in Cebu. Our first stop is the
Basilica del Sto. Niño. As a catholic, I've always wanted to visit this famous landmark in Cebu. I went inside and said a little prayer and then took some pictures. The church is so beautiful that I can't help myself but to stare at the ceiling. Outside the church I bought some candles, and the old woman who sold me the candles asked for my family name, then she danced while praying for my family.
Just a few steps from the church, we reached
Magellan's Cross, a symbol of Roman Catholicism in the Philippines. It is said to have been planted by Magellan to signify one important event - the propagation of the Roman Catholic faith in the Islands.
