Batangas - Mt. Gulugod Baboy Climb - September 20-21, 2009

My second climb up a mountain was in Mt. Gulugod Baboy last September 20-21, 2009, located in Anilao Mabini Batangas. With me are my "Social Climber" friends Ayie, Ed, Alex (he's the real climber), Julius and Bheng. It took us 2 hours to be able to reach the campsite. From there, it will take you a few more steps to reach the peak of the mountain.

It took us 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach our starting point. Thank God everything went okay. Then, we decided to go Philpan Resort just across the jump off point. This is the favorite rest area of the climbers after a sweaty climb up Mt. Gulugod Baboy.

I had a lot of fun in this trip. A new experience that I will cherish for a lifetime.

We're planning to climb again, I just still don't know where and when, but hopefully very soon. Thanks a lot again to my "Social Climber" Friends - Ayie, Ed, Alex, Julius and Bheng. 'Til our next climb! =p

  1. Gulugod is my favorite mountain. I'd guided groups there, published an article in Inquirer about it, and I still haven't lost my love for that mountain.

  3. Hi sir, pano po ang transpo to gulugod baboy? I've read na kailangan ng private transpo. Is there any alternative? Thank you! :)

  4. @Lourrey May -From Manila, take a bus bound for Batangas City and get off at Bauan Diversion. From there, take a jeepney bound for Mabini, tell the driver that you will get off sa corner ng papuntang Anilao. From there, you can take a tricycle going to the jump-off which is in front of PhilPan Resort.
